CIVIL ENGINEERING

AVIATION

No other form of transportation has connected more people with each other than air travel. The aviation industry is an integral part of any community because of the economic growth it provides as well as the social benefits. The Parkhill Aviation Team focuses on building community through airport projects that will benefit the areas around these airports for many years. Parkhill’s experience in aviation includes a full range of services to support private, general aviation, military, and commercial air carrier airports. Our Aviation Team partners with airport staff to identify and address current and future maintenance and development needs.

CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES/ CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

Need Project Name

Construction management can be undertaken in many different forms for all sizes of contracts and project complexities. At its core, construction management includes on-site representation of the stakeholders to ensure the project is constructed on time and within budget. Parkhill’s capabilities include facilitating a quality construction job. We provide engineer of record and Resident Project Representative (RPR) services on projects we designed. We also provide that same effort on third-party RPR services on projects designed by other firms. In third-party situations, we work closely with all parties involved. Our qualified construction managers and experienced and knowledgeable RPRs build trust with our clients.

ENVIRONMENTAL

Parkhill’s environmental engineering services include all disciplines required to support the needs of our solid waste clients. Our philosophy is to bring together a comprehensive, multidisciplinary practice of dedicated team members with all stakeholders to identify and address and meet their current and future solid waste goals. Parkhill emphasizes maintaining working relationships with local, state, and federal agencies, and is intimately familiar with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and all state solid waste regulations where we practice.

SITE DEVELOPMENT

Site Development is a crucial step in the project phase because it can root out any problems that may occur before construction starts. With today’s ever-tightening regulations, our experienced Site Development Team has the latest information available to provide solid answers to clients with any site development questions. Parkhill has helped plan the development of tens of thousands of acres by providing full-service engineering and architectural design, planning, and construction administration. We have working relationships with the local municipalities and a keen understanding and familiarity with their various requirements and criteria.

SITE DEVELOPMENT

Our STORMWATER Team works diligently to find solutions that keep people safe from flooding and other catastrophic consequences that can be caused by excessive stormwater. Parkhill’s Hydrology/Hydraulics experience includes many disciplines necessary to fully support the private and public sector’s stormwater engineering needs. We also maintain excellent working relationships with local, state, and federal agencies and have the extensive knowledge to guide clients through hydrological and hydraulic design criteria and requirements. Our stormwater services also include drainage master plans, feasibility studies, and emergency action plans.

SURVEY

Surveying is a practice that has been used since humans began creating the built environment. Before one shovel can break ground or a brick can be laid, the land we use to build upon must be accurately surveyed to support the rest of the design and building process. At Parkhill, our Survey Team works diligently to make sure each survey project is accurate and reliable, ensuring the collected data informs, clarifies, and helps clients and project teams make the best decisions.

Without Transportation Engineers, it would take much longer to get from Point A to Point B. Parkhill’s experience in highway and railway transportation includes many disciplines necessary to fully support private, municipal, and state transportation infrastructure. Our dedicated Transportation Team partners with clients to assist them in identifying and addressing their current and future development needs. Parkhill enjoys excellent working relationships with local, state, and federal agencies and is intimately familiar with highway and railroad design requirements and criteria.

TREATMENT

Water and wastewater treatments are necessary and vital processes that keep our communities healthy and safe. Our comprehensive, multidisciplinary practice and dedicated Treatment Team members partner with our clients to help them identify and address their current and future water and wastewater treatment solutions. Community is one of Parkhill’s largest departments in the firm. It encompasses multiple architecture and engineering design disciplines that help make communities thrive.

Parkhill’s MUNICIPAL design services include a multidisciplinary approach utilizing a wide range of team members and skill sets, including architects, landscape architects, interior designers, civil engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and structural engineers. We work on various projects necessary for communities to operate, including police stations, city halls, court houses, fire stations, and more.

Our involvement in a community is not just one project type but across many project types, including COMMERCIAL spaces. Understanding how these facilities fit together with infrastructure to build a community is what gives us a unique perspective toward our work. We can build stronger, sustainable communities by PLANNING the built environment. Through design strategy and analytics, our Planning team translates the ideas and needs of the client into dynamic facilities and sites that shape the communities we all live in. Our approach leverages analytics to create evidence-based decision-making, giving the client a deeper understanding of the possible outcomes. We address the relationship between land use, transportation, infrastructure, economic development, and placemaking to build thriving communities.

Our INTERIOR designers are Building Community by working together with our clients to design spaces that not only meet their needs but represent who they are. Each project gets a customized team with in-house architects, engineers, planners, and graphic designers, as well as outside consultants and specialists to provide a unique and comprehensive service to our clients. Our Healthcare Design team focuses on the dynamics that drive wellness and promote integrated people-centric strategies for better health and well-being. Parkhill delivers holistic facility design through the oneness of thought with our interior designers, landscape architects, and systems engineers for forward-thinking healthcare environments that benefit everyone from practitioners to patients.

HIGHER EDUCATION

Our Higher Education projects are designed to improve the student experience in academic spaces and student engagement environments. This includes areas for academic instruction, laboratories, student unions, residence halls, student services, recreational amenities, dining areas, and athletic facilities. Parkhill’s Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural (MEP/S) Engineers provide in-house support to our diverse range of disciplines and offer prime engineering services for various projects, including local, state, and federal government facilities. In short, these engineers design the systems within a building, such as structural support, lighting, climate control, and plumbing. These systems must work harmoniously to provide functionality, safety, and comfort. We leverage the latest in science, data, and technology to implement leading-edge techniques that provide solutions that are economical, efficient, and sustainable.
