Family Place

Feed My Starving Children www.fmsc.org/

Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and we ship these meals to our distribution partners. FMSC meals have reached nearly 70 countries around the world in our history.

Parish is hosting Feed My Starving Children in Dallas again this year! Join us as we pack over one million meals in our gym to send to kids in third world countries.

NTFB is serving South Dallas through "Our Community Pantry", a client-choice food pantry located near the Fair Park area.

Distribution Center (Perfect for individuals and groups up to 100 people; age 10+) Sort and pack food at our facility located near Duncanville, Tuesdays - Saturdays: 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 - 3:30 p.m.

Mobile Pantry (Perfect for individuals and groups up to 15 people; age 16+) Join us rain or shine. Volunteers assist with crowd control, greeting clients, bagging food and cleaning up. Shifts are usually 3 hours long and take place in various locations across North Texas.

Special Events (Perfect for individuals and groups of various sizes; age requirements vary) NTFB benefits from hundreds of community events every year. Volunteer needs vary and can include duties such as setting up, registration, bag check, crowd control, merchandise sales, manning a booth, refreshments, greeting guests, tear down, etc. Come and be part of the festivities.

School Pantry(Perfect for individuals and groups up to 10 people; age 16+) During the school year, we deliver shelf-stable food and produce to partner elementary schools on a monthly basis. Extra hands are needed to help carry 30-60 pounds of food to the cars of hungry families. Volunteers must pass a background check.

Administrative Projects (Perfect for individuals; age 16+) Help with mailings, database entry, courtesy calls and other clerical duties in our offices.

Rays of Light www.raysoflightdallas.org/ Rays of Light, a Texas 501(c)(3) corporation, is dedicated to providing free, quality respite care to families with children with special needs, across the spectrum, in the Dallas metropolitan area. Together with our volunteers, we strive to

lend support and relief to these families through our respite care program called Night Lights.
