YOU WILL NEED: Craft essentials (see p92) Free alphabet die set Dies: flowers, circles, oval Stickers: snowflakes, Santa Frame: 12.5cm x 18cm Ink pad: red Hole punch Glitter glue Acetate Button Gift box
Cover the top 8cm of a top-fold 10cm x 15cm blank with Christmas tree paper. Add grid paper to the bottom half and apply a scallop-edged border across the join. Die cut ‘Oh Christmas tree!’ from green card and seven small trees from kraft card. Attach a tree under each scallop and stick the lettering underneath.
Cover the top 6cm of a 10cm x 15cm cream blank with Christmas patterned paper. Leave a 2cm gap, then cover the remainder with another strip. Die cut ‘Warm wishes’ from brown card and stick to the right of the 2cm gap. Add a red button to the left, tie with twine.
~ TOP TIP ~ USE A RULER TO LINE UP THE BOTTOM OF THE LETTERS WHEN STICKING THEM DOWN
ADD COINS HERE!
To create the wallet, cut a piece of green card to 18cm x 19.5cm. Score across at 9cm and 18cm. Fold along the score lines and stick down the tab on the inside and along one end. Punch a half circle in the centre of the open end. Die cut letters from cream and red card to spell ‘Naughty or Nice?’. Arrange and attach to the top of the wallet. Add a Santa sticker underneath the lettering.

Wrap a small gift box in white paper. Die cut stars from kraft, pink, green and blue card, along with the word ‘Merry’. Stick the stars onto the box, scoring some so that they go over the sides. Attach the lettering to white card and trim. Layer onto pink, then blue and finally green card. Cut the ends so that they are even. Punch a hole in the left side and thread with white twine. Wrap garden twine several times around the left side of the box and tie in a bow to secure the tag.
~ TOP TIP ~ INSERT A PIECE OF WAX PAPER BETWEEN THE DIE AND YOUR CARD TO MAKE RELEASING THE SHAPE EASIER
E G A P THE 21
Die cut a 7.5cm circle from red patterned paper, then two smaller ones from blue card and acetate. Cut another circle in the centre of the blue piece to create a ring. Stick the acetate to the back and add a layer of 3D foam pads around it. Cut out Christmas shapes from different colours of card and place in the centre of the red circle. Carefully stick down the ring on top. Punch a small hole, thread with twine and add a white bow.
2 CHRISTMAS COOKIES
Create a 9cm x 15cm top-fold blank and cover with a smaller piece of pink dotty paper. Die cut nine stars from kraft card then add a small piece of pink card to the back of each. Arrange in a square at the top of a 6cm x 9cm white panel, then stick down with 3D foam pads. Add a sentiment underneath, and a pink bow.
Use an 11.5cm circle die to create a blank then cover in pudding paper. Die cut another disc from white card. Trim half away, leaving a wavy line. Attach this piece to the top of the blank. Die cut ‘Christmas wishes’ from brown card then stick to the white section. Cut two holly leaves from green card and punch small circles from pink card. Stick to the top of the pudding, embellishing each berry with a gem.

STENCILS Sarah Jackman Read crafts beautiful greetings in a matter of minutes
TRY WET STENCILLING TODAY
COST-EFFECTIVE It's so satisfying to find a crafty
technique that is not only quick to do, but extremely effective too. This wet stencil cardmaking method is ideal for the festive period when we have a lot more greetings to make than usual. It’s also very economical as you only need a few products to create amazing effects.
INK IT To try this technique you'll need sturdy, good quality card, a plastic stencil and ink pads. Ranger Distress ink pads are great to use as they blend seamlessly and come in a wide range of wonderful colours. If you don't have them in your stash, most water-based ink pads will work well.
KEEP IT SIMPLE I've kept my festive designs simple and
added only minimal embellishments, but you can add as many layers, gems and sparkles as you like! This technique works well with a patterned stencil which can be used as a background, then stamp a sentiment on top. The most important thing is to experiment and, of course, have fun!
~ TOP TIP ~ APPLY THE INK WITH SMALL SPONGES TO MAINTAIN CONTROL WHEN BLENDING
