For over 20 years I’ve created portrait collections for families like yours. At home. At the beach. On vacation. Celebrating a milestone event. Or at a gathering of far-flung families to a once-in-a-while rendezvous. I love the energy of people and the wonderful pictures that we create together. To me, each family portrait session is surrounded by a story waiting to be told.

Extended Family sessions are special. They are bigger than a family portrait session, but more personal than an event. I love to capture the connections and the reunion between siblings, close friends, and the generations of a family.

Let me tell your story and create a collection of photos that will always connect you to this time in your family’s journey. These are the good old days and they deserve to be remembered in pictures for years to come. And the best part is that everyone will be in the picture because you won’t be taking them. I will.

I offer 3 levels of extended photo sessions:

• A Gathering

• A Day in the Life

• An Event

Gathering Session

Getting the family together means more with each passing year. For most of us, having everyone in the same place at the same time is a rare event and is worth preserving in pictures. Kids grow. New pets arrive. Grandparents get more grand. Families change.

A Gathering Session is perfect for that once-in-awhile family get together. We’ll spend about 1-2 hours getting casual portraits and candids of people together and in groups so that everyone in the family has some special photos of the whole family and themselves.

Your Gathering Session is $1500

That means you get:

• 1-2 hour photo session

• An online video slideshow of the highlights of the session within 48 hours

• An online gallery to view and share photos for 3 months

• A download of all high-res images (100+ images)

• Photo manager consult for 30 minute to help with placement of your new digital files in your photo library

• A professional 8x8 photo book with high end paper of artist selects (20-30 images)

Day in the Life Session

If your family has been apart for awhile or you are gathering for a milestone celebration, a Day in the Life Session is the popular choice. With 3-4 hours to get pictures that capture the moments, the Day in the Life is a rich reminder of this time your family is together. The extra time is perfect to get more of those special candid moments. With the additional time I can capture games or activities (think a local concert, berry picking, a game of croquet or going out for ice cream) that you love to do with your family

Your Day in the Life Session is $2500

That means you get:

• 3-4 hour photo session in up to 2 locations

• An online video slideshow of the highlight of the session within 48 hours

• An online gallery to view and share photos for 3 months

• A download of all high-res images (150+ images) for each family group

• Photo manager consult for 30 minute to help with placement of your new digital files in your photo library

• A professional 11 x 11 photo book with high end paper of artist selects (30-40 images)

• An 8x10 archival fine art print

Event Session

For a large family event or reunion I’ve created the Event Session. I come for a minimum of 1-2 hours and create photos that capture the spirit of the event and place. Perfect for a special birthday, anniversary or family celebration. This is a premium experience that allows me to create a photo story that follows the timeline of your event.

Prints are for preserving. Digital is for sharing.

We love the printed image. Digital images are cool and fun and convenient, but a physical photograph catches our attention. It lives in the world. It makes us pause and think. It enriches our lives in a special way.

Our bespoke signature products are all made by us or sourced to select artisans who finish the art to our specifications. These products are created with archival papers and inks to be sure you can enjoy these pieces for decades.

Collection of Wall Prints

Remember your favorite moments with a collection of prints on your wall. Prints are available in metal substrate, back mounted acrylic glass, or in custom frames with archival mats and UV conservation clear glass. Installation of collection wall prints included within 1 hour drive from studio.

Our premium hand-made books are printed on museum quality matte paper and feature full page printing in a lay-flat design. This heirloom quality photo book comes with a lifetime guarantee and provides a timeless reminder of your family’s experience in this time and place.

Book-on-a-Wall Collage

Capture the full story of you and your family with our signature presentation. Prints of a grid or mosaic layout of 25-35 images are available in metal substrate, back mounted acrylic glass, or in custom frames with archival mats and UV conservation clear glass. Custom sizes available.

About Pam

I grew up in Michigan where life centers around the family. Spending time by the water with my family was always important. We would swim and sail for hours in the summer and skate on the ice in the winter. So many great memories. Wish I had more pictures!

When I was a teenager, we moved out West and I came to appreciate the diversity and creativity that the West Coast had to offer. I became an oncology nurse and practiced both in Portland and San Francisco. A nurse helps her patients feel comfortable in an uncomfortable medical situation. As a photographer, I do the same for my clients. Helping people feel at ease is the best way to capture authentic, meaningful images.

I have lived on the East cost for over 30 years and enjoy the community and culture that the area has to offer. My husband is a very talented fine art and landscape photographer who also helps people organize and curate their photos. We have two great kids who are now young adults and are engaged in the world.

I believe that being together is a gift and that creating beautiful images of your family, for me, is an honor. As a lifestyle photographer, my goal is to create meaningful images that celebrate who you are as a family. The serendipity of life creates moments I capture that you will cherish for a lifetime.

The Journey

1. Online or phone consultation

This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We discuss what you are looking for in a photo session and we consider different ideas on how to achieve your goal.

2. Photo session

We get the family together and I guide you so that your energy and connections naturally come out. In this relaxed and fun atmosphere I find meaningful moments that capture your authentic selves.

3. Video slideshow of the highlights

Within 48 hours of the session, we send you a fun video slideshow of the highlights of our session that you can enjoy and share.

4. Photo selection

Two weeks later we will have an online order session where we review your images together and you select your favorite photos from your session.

5. Products

I help you choose the best way to display your photographs, either as a collection of wall prints, a book-on-a-wall collage, or as a bespoke fine art photo book.

6. Enjoy I hang your photos and deliver your photo book for you and your family to cherish together.
