10) Can Palm Tran present plaques to employees to honor years of service?

Palm Tran presented plaques and certificates to employees who reached milestone years of service at the 2022 Employee Holiday Recognition Event.

11) An employee has a concern that there are not enough technicians.

Palm Tran has recruited vacancies for technicians with two to three left to be filled. Palm Tran will continue to post job openings at colleges, mechanical schools, Indeed.com and other places where Palm Tran can recruit staff.

12) A mechanic feels there is no upward mobility at Palm Tran. He states he was turned down for a technician position and body shop position. The mechanic would like to see Palm Tran focus on training and promoting from within the organization.

13) A utility worker feels there are no advancement opportunities at Palm Tran. Why won’t Palm Tran train him for a different position instead of hiring someone from outside the company?

Organizational Development is working with ATU leadership to form an apprenticeship program that will provide opportunities for interested candidates to receive on the job training.

14) Will Palm Tran receive more road supervisors?

Adding additional road supervisors is unbudgeted for the current fiscal year.

15) When will Palm Tran do CDL training?

Palm Tran has begun to train for CDL. with the first pilot class taking place July 2022.
