Kerrisdale Veterinary Hospital is a large building which contains two examination rooms, an operating room, a recoveryICU, a dedicated cat ward and a number of rooms for boarding animals. In addition, the hospital offers full medical, dental and surgical facilities, along with in-house x-rays and ultrasound. Behind the scenes, the hospital’s resident pet bird, White Dandy, keeps things lively with his songs. Dr. Michael Dodds is married and has one son who loves animals; however it is too early to know if he will follow his father’s career path, and there is no pressure to do so. The family has a French Bulldog named Maxine. While his veterinary practice keeps him busy, Dr. Michael Dodds likes to spend some of his free time playing semi-competitive hockey, and pursing his latest hobby, surfing. He has been actively involved for twelve years with the volunteer organizing committee for Vancouver’s Festival of Trees in support of BC Children’s Hospital. A true testimony to customer loyalty, clients travel from as far afield as the Sunshine Coast to visit this clinic. Dr. Michael Dodds feels honoured to be the owner of this wellestablished business in a neighbourhood that has not changed significantly since he was a boy.
