Our fully automated sheet dispenser and reels of anti-slip paper eliminates the need for manual sheet replacement and increases the timespan between refills, so you stay ahead of the competition with simpler routines, fewer production stoppages and greater flexibility.

TROUBLE-FREE PAPER HANDLING

Having up to 5,000 sheets of anti-slip paper on one reel compared to 650 corrugated pallet sheets per pallet means longer intervals between reel replenishments. In fact, the number of replenishments is reduced by up to 90%. And because you can replenish the reels of anti-slip paper outside the safety zone, the changeover can be done fast and without stopping production.

The sheet dispensers have up to 15 pre-programmed sheet sizes which means that you can change sheet sizes in a flash. Additionally, the pick-up height is fixed, ensuring you a fast workflow.

Higher productivity and less downtime

Downtime costs money, and with traditional sheet magazines, production must stop for safety reasons. However, with our automatic sheet dispenser, the reel can be located outside the robot’s working area – eliminating the need for any halt in production. Transport-related cargo slippage issues can erode customer trust and result in financial losses due to refund requests and the need for additional deliveries. However, by using antislip paper as interlayer sheets, you ensure that your products remain safe on your pallets every time – even if tilted up to 50°. Your products will arrive at their destination in the same condition as they left the depot.

Space is at a premium on a modern packaging line and traditional pallet sheets take up a lot of square-meterage – especially if the sheets are required in several different sizes. Our anti-slip paper is supplied in reels, which significantly reduces the amount of storage space needed.

The reels used on our fully automated sheet dispensers have up to 5,000 metres of anti-slip paper on each reel compared to approx. 650 corrugated cardboard sheets per pallet. This makes the reels of anti-slip paper 7 times more space-efficient than traditional carboard interlayer solutions.

Our fully automated sheet dispensers fit easily into your existing palletising plant. A 240V power supply is all that’s required. Fully operational in less than a day, our solution can be fitted during a planned shutdown, which means zero unscheduled downtime for you. The sheet dispenser is easily positioned where the old sheet magazine used to be, and you’re good to go.

REDUCE YOUR MATERIAL CONSUMPTION

Using an automated sheet dispenser together with reels of anti-slip paper enables you to reduce your paper consumption by up to 40% and stretch foil usage by up to 30%. Anti-slip paper is thinner and more flexible than traditional cardboard sheets which ultimately reduces the total amount of waste generated in packaging your products.

Additionally, the high friction strength of our anti-slip paper keeps your product layers stable on the pallet, which means that a lower paper grammage can be used. This helps you reduce the amount of paper and stretch foil needed to secure your cargo as well.

MINIMISE YOUR NEGATIVE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Besides reducing your material consumption, the Palcut Solution also helps you generate less waste as the automated sheet dispenser will eliminate lost sheets. You will also be able to reduce your carbon footprint. There are 7 times as many anti-slip sheets on a reel compared to pre-cut carboard sheets on a pallet which ultimately means fewer deliveries. Standard sheet dispenser – Palcut 800

Palcut 800 is a fully automatic sheet dispenser that quickly and accurately cuts paper into interlayer sheets in a desired length, directly from the reel. The dispenser ensures that there is always a single sheet ready for the robot to pick up.

Standard sheet dispenser – Palcut 1200

With Palcut 1200, you get the same sheet dispenser as with Palcut 800. The only difference is that Palcut 1200 is more flexible in relation to cutting different sheet formats, as the reel is wider. When palletising with interlayer sheets between the product layers, Palcut 800 or 1200 may be the right choice for you.

Smart add-ons

The Palcut machine can be equipped with different kind of add-ons to improve the general use or the everyday, depending on the use, size, customer requirements, paper thickness etc.

ADDITIONAL TROLLEY

This gives the opportunity to reload the paper otherwhere than on the machine. An additional trolley is recommended where the quick change over time is needed.

An additional trolley can significantly reduce the changeover time of the paper reel.

EMPTY ROLL SENSOR & INDICATOR

The sensor monitors the amount of paper on the roll. Empty roll sensor and indication can be configurated as followed:

2 (external) output signals; “close to empty roll” and “empty roll” and “paper OK” can be used for information only or it can stop the Palcut.

Visual: as a green, yellow and red-light indication.

Visual light is an additional option, not standard together with the sensor.

GUARDING/FENCING

The Palcut frame can be enclosed with fencing, thereby preventing the access to the robot cell when the trolley is not in position.

The fencing gives you the advantage, that entering the production cell is not needed when the paper reel is empty, and the trolley needs to be changed. You can have ongoing palletizing during the change of the trolley.

PAPER DIVIDER

Divides the paper on the middle, to make ½ and ¼ pallet sheets.

The paper divider needs to connect to compressed air 0,5-0,6 MPa.

PRESSURE PLATES

The pressure plate gives a flat surface underneath the paper and round belts, which in some situations can be useful depending on the pickup method used.

Papers that can be handled

The standard Palcut dispenser is designed to handle the Palcut Antim anti-slip paper in grammages up to 300 g/m2.

Please note that using other types of paper, plastic foil etc. may be possible, but is at the Customers own discretion and may void the product warranty.

Capacities

The capacities are subject to layout conditions, different grammages of paper, positioning of the paper, communication etc.

The standard Palcut dispenser has an average cycle time of at least 8,6 (Palcut 1200) and 9,7 (Palcut800) sec per sheet (1200x800mm format). A cycle is defined from pick up of sheet from the table until a new sheet is in place for pick up.

Noise level

The noise level of the Palcut dispenser is below 60 dB(A) which is below the general noise level requirements of 75 dB(A) in accordance with the Machine Directive. Palcut A/S’ scope of supply does not include noise measurements. Any noise measurement performed shall be performed in accordance with valid standards and EU norms.
