PML-N was ‘top priority’ for seat adjustment: Fazl No alliance with JI on cards STAFF REPORTER LAHORE—Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazlur Rehman faction) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that though Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) was their top priority for seat adjustments, it did not work out. Addressing the media representatives here on Friday at airport in Lahore, the JUI-F chief said that he is not scheduled to meet the Sharif brothers in the upcoming days, but if it were to happen he did not see a problem with it. Speaking about Chaudhary Nisar, Rehman said “He is a brother to me, we have no differences.” The JUI-F chief also clarified that there were no plans of seat adjustments with the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Talking about the present interim setup in the country, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said people should not make interim governments controversial by criticiz-

He said the elected federal and provincial governments took so much time to finalize the names of the caretaker Prime Minister and chief ministers of all the provinces and now the interim governments would have to induct ministers to run day to day affairs so the burden of the responsibilities fell on the shoulders of caretaker heads for materializing the plan of fair and transparent elections. Answering a question about Asghar Khan Case, he said he was not in a position to comment on this issue since it was the duty of the Election Commission and Election Tribunals to decide whether those politicians who allegedly took money from ISI to maneuver elections of 1990 in their favor fall under article 62 and 63 or not. “This is nei-
