1. Tell us how you became a fulltime blogger? I started blogging casually and very randomly. I’ve always loved to write and have been writing pieces since my childhood so it felt like something very regular to do. Though my initial intent was to do it non-seriously, it started getting a lot of traction and I realized I enjoyed it way more than my regular corporate job and could turn it into a self-sustaining medium. So I invested all my time and energy into it and took it full-time. Four years down, happily blogging as a career. 2. At what point did you first realize your blog is influential? I realized I have the trust of people – not influence - when I started doing small brand collaborations and they generated enough sales for most brands to keep coming back. It helped me talk about stuff I loved, create entertaining content for people who were taking the time out to visit my blog and also create a financial winwin for both the brands and me. This was about six months into the blogging game – it wasn’t self-sustaining at that time but enough to make me take it full-time. 3. What sets you apart from other bloggers and gives you followers? I’m not a fan of comparison. It’s not because of the ‘I only compete with myself’ cliche - I just 54
