Did you stumble upon your career or was it something that you always wanted?

I belong to a highly acclaimed academic family, I was raised to dream big. We are two siblings, my brother and I were highly ambitious and very competitive with a never-ending list of gold medals, trophies and rewards.

Did you ever consider or experience a career change?

I decided to complete my masters after marriage and aimed to embrace a field which is challenging and creative at the same time. Entrepreneurship gave me freedom to pursue my own vision in designing.

Did you ever feel discouraged mid-way your routine? How did you push through it?

No! Entrepreneurship is important as it has the ability to improve standards of living and create wealth for the economy of your country. I thoroughly enjoy wearing many hats as the CEO, where I head the design team from management, accounting and what not. So I am all excited and charged up the whole day and never had a second thought about any career.

Name one boss lady that inspired you take your own path, and how did she inspire you?

The woman who inspired me the most recently is Christine Lagarde, the first female to lead the IMF standing in the masculine world of finance.

From failing twice to entering France national school of admin to becoming the world’s 5th most influential woman, she inspires me in countless ways.

What are the top three things that you cherish the most in your life?

I am a hands on mom of 4 brilliant kids, managing work life balance and being a perfect boss does leave you exhausted at times. But the positivity and energy I get 24/7 from my kids, parents and brother keeps me going every day.

What is the #1 thing yet to be ticked off your bucket list?

Sending my daughters to world’s best institutions for higher education.

What does nobody tell you about being the boss?

For success you have to be extremely patient, persistent

Describe a typical day in your life?

I am an early bird so my day starts at 5 am. After dropping my son, I go for a workout or a swim followed by office work and meetings. I generally wrap up timely to have lunch with kids and spend some time looking at their academic progress. Sometimes I socialize with friends in the evening or plan my next day.

A lesson your biggest failure might have taught you?

I don’t consider myself as a failure.

I’ve learnt that gratitude fosters positivity and if you want a meaning to your life, start serving others. Find a way to make a difference in other people's lives.

Which world leader would you most like to have dinner with?

I would like to have dinner with Justin Trudeau.

What advice would you give to young girls who look up to you and have goals and dreams like you?

Focus on yourself and what makes you happy and what allows you to feel good, don’t be scared to fail, just learn from every bump in the road so you make better mistakes next time. That is where you learn the most!
