Plunderers of public wealth showing arrogance instead of regret: Faraz
ISLAMABAD staff report
federal minister for information and Broadcasting, senator shibli faraz has said that those who looted public resources are showing arrogance instead of regret and remorse. in a tweet on sunday, the information minister said that the defeated political hypocrites will gather again that day to give explanations for their defeat and disgrace. separately, faraz said that statement of ali amin Gandapur at Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf’s (PTi) election rally in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) about maryam Nawaz was wrongly perceived as such kind of speeches in public gatherings are routine matters in politics. Talking to a private channel, he said that indecent words and statements of maryam and Pakistan democratic movement (Pdm) leaders about the first lady were worse than the political remarks of Gandapur about maryam. The opposition has crossed all limits of political ethics by criticising even national institutions which are more important than individuals. The minister said the prime minister has never used indecent re-
marks about women and maryam misused her status of being a woman. faraz’s statements come as the opposition parties, Pakistan muslim League-Nawaz (PmL-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), geared up their election campaign in GB. Previously, in a series of tweets on friday, the information minister referred to a recent statement of (PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, wherein the latter talked about PmL-N supreme leader Nawaz sharif’s speech at Gujranwala rally of the anti-government alliance, the Pdm. faraz said that Bilawal has shown his distrust of Nawaz. he said that it also shows that they do not pursue a single narrative. in another tweet, faraz said that the people of GB have rejected the hollow narrative of the opposition. he said that the successful public meetings of Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTi) in GB and public support show public confidence in the leadership of Prime minister imran Khan and suggest the party’s electoral victory. The minister said that to include GB in the national mainstream for development is the premier’s vision and promise. in today’s issue
