Student of the Week Memorial's Student of the Week is senior, Tammy Pham.

She was nominated by math teacher Azineth Buan.

“Tammy is a wonderful student,” Buan said. “As one of my statisticians (as I call my students in Stat AP class), she is very smart and responsible. Even though she’s an online student, she always turns in well-thought and wellprepared assignments. I am so proud of her.”

Tammy is a part of the tennis team, National Honor Society, class of 2021 treasurer, Principal Advisory, #CAP (College Admission Process), and the PAISD Title Programs’ Advisory Committee. Outside of school, she is a part of the altar service at her church.

A quote Tammy lives by is, “do not be afraid to do the impossible’. “This is a quote I live by because life has many challenges, and to overcome them, I will need to live life fearlessly and take action. I want to go above and beyond rather than staying in my own comfort zone,” Pham said. “Holding myself back from the challenges that life has thrown at me, will make me more afraid in the future. Nothing is impossible because if I set my mind to it, I will be able to do it.”

She admits the title of Student of the Week is something that took her by surprise. “I feel honored to be the Student of the Week,” she said. “I was quite surprised that out of all of the students in the school, I was chosen to be the Student of the Week. I feel accomplished that I am being recognized for the achievement and hard work that I have put into school.” After high school, she plans to attend college and major in nursing, hopefully at the University of Texas at Austin. “After getting my BSN, I plan to gain work experience for a few years, then go back to school to get my masters degree.”
