DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
I believe in seamlessly integrating form, function, and vision to create innovative layouts that prioritize accessibility and sustainability. With meticulous attention to detail and a client-centric approach, I craft environments that resonate deeply with everyone, turning clients visions into captivating realities. Each project is an exciting creative journey where I push the boundaries of design to inspire and delight.
As part of an interdisciplinary collaborative studio with architecture students, we were tasked to design a community center that would serve as a vibrant hub for the North Nashville community, centered around the future Nashville Stars baseball park. Our team aimed to create a space that fosters connection, promotes physical activity, and celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the area while trying to maintain or increase green space in the community. Through a holistic design approach, we integrated architectural innovation, community engagement, and sustainability to develop a concept that not only enhances the game-day experience but also provides year-round value to residents of all ages.
Legacy Park was designed with the cultural family of North Nashville in mind. Our design process and product revolved around family and creating a place to celebrate the past, enhance the present, and grow the future.
The form of the community center was created by starting with the organization of programmatic elements in a linear pattern to ensure functional flow. The roof-lines were elevated at both ends to maximize natural light. Fins were added to the east face of the building to enhance ventilation and improve views to downtown Nashville. The form was pinched in the middle to control circulation within the space. A truss-style structure was incorporated to support the community center as it extends over the greenway and into the ballpark.
The site was designed with the intention of connecting North Nashville to the greater Nashville area through various modes of transportation, including walking and bike paths, water taxis, and highway access. It features a variety of office and retail spaces, as well as a variety of spaces for families to engage with their community.
The exploded axon below illustrates the interaction between the community center, greenways, baseball stadium, and the overall park layout.

A GAME-DAY HUB: CELEBRATING TEAM IDENTITY
The Nashville Stars team store, located by the stadium entrance, offers fans a sleek, immersive retail experience that reflects the team’s energy and identity. A dramatic ceiling installation of suspended baseballs and lights creates a sense of movement and excitement.
At the heart of the space is a hat wall featuring an extensive collection of Nashville Stars hats. Nearby, merchandise displays offer jerseys and exclusive memorabilia, ensuring fans find the perfect item to show their pride.
Designed with accessibility in mind, the store features fully accessible fitting rooms and wide, clear pathways for wheelchairs and strollers, reflecting the team’s commitment to inclusivity. With its modern design, community focus, and vibrant atmosphere, the Nashville Stars team store enhances the game-day experience, connecting fans to both their team and the community.

BRIDGING FOOD ACCESS AND EMPOWERING NORTH NASHVILLE
Jefferson Harvest aims to address the pressing issue of food accessibility in North Nashville, a community currently identified as a food desert. Many residents lack access to healthy, well-rounded meals, and our restaurant seeks to bridge that gap by offering fresh, nutritious dishes made from produce grown in our on-site community garden. Jefferson Harvest not only provides employment opportunities for local residents but also promotes sustainable dining practices. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where the community can gather, dine, and thrive.
The restaurant’s design and ambiance reflect the rich character of North Nashville, incorporating locally sourced materials such as Tennessee limestone, southern oak floors, and locally produced steel. These elements create a warm, inviting atmosphere that honors the area’s heritage and cultural significance. By fostering a network of support with local farms, suppliers, and organizations, Jefferson Harvest aims to enhance the well-being of North Nashville, making it more than just a restaurant, but also a hub for growth, sustainability, and empowerment.

PLANS NOT TO SCALE
Our community center was designed with the children of the North Nashville community in mind. It serves as an after-school program for children whose parents are working, providing a safe and engaging hangout space. The center offers music lessons, cooking classes, and private practice rooms for aspiring musicians. Additionally, our stadium overlook allows neighborhood families to experience MLB games for free, offering a unique opportunity for those who might not otherwise be able to afford tickets, and giving back to the community that supports our development.
Our event space is highly flexible and can be configured for cocktail receptions, banquets, or lecture-style events. When not in use for events, this space is available for children in the community center to hang out, work on homework, or participate in various activities. Our goal is to create a multifunctional environment that benefits the entire North Nashville community, providing resources and opportunities for both children and adults.

Kitty B. West Pavilion
Architectural Studio I | Fall 2021
Location: Belmont University, Nashville, TN
Type: Public
Duration: 5 weeks
As part of a campus-focused design project, we were tasked with reimagining the historic Kitty B. West Amphitheatre on our school grounds. The project began with an exploration of the site’s history, including the various buildings and landscapes that once occupied the space. With the intention of creating a gathering place for students, staff, and the general public, we were asked to design a pavilion that would serve as both a social hub and a serene spot to sit and relax. The program was purposefully left open-ended to allow us to respond to the unique needs and characteristics revealed through our site analysis.
The pavilion showcases a delicate floral pattern, drawing from the rich heritage of Belmont’s rose gardens, the historic campus gazebos, and the former conservatory. The curved hipped roof lines are designed to elevate the viewer’s gaze, framing the iconic Belmont bell tower and creating a seamless blend between the new pavilion and the historic surroundings.
EXPLODED AXON
This pavilion features an intricate and elegant floral metalworking pattern made of wrought iron, inspired by Belmont’s rose gardens, campus gazebos, and the historic conservatory that once stood where the Kitty B. West Amphitheatre is today.

Location: Nashville, TN
Type: Workplace
Duration: 1 week
This project involved transforming a former residential house into a vibrant, modern publishing administration office, with a design approach that reflects the client’s desire for a space that is both edgy and deeply connected to the music industry. The design incorporated bold colors, sleek finishes, and music-inspired elements to create an atmosphere that energizes and inspires. The layout was carefully reimagined to balance open, collaborative work areas with private, focused spaces. Custom details, such as innovative lighting solutions, along with a mix of textures and materials, were thoughtfully integrated to enhance both the aesthetic and functionality of the office. The design aligns with the client’s vision while respecting the original architectural features of the home, resulting in a space that feels both modern and welcoming.
This conceptual presentation offers a unique perspective on how a residential space can be redefined to meet the needs of a creative, forward-thinking publishing team, while maintaining a connection to the building’s history.
A DYNAMIC SPACE FOR COLLABORATION
The conference room was designed to be a central hub for collaboration, offering a bold yet functional environment that reflects the energy of the music industry. Modern finishes, striking colors, and music-inspired accents create a space that is both professional and inspiring. Strategic lighting enhances the atmosphere, while sleek materials and thoughtfully curated details contribute to a contemporary aesthetic.
