General Can it code the towing electrics for all newer vehicles?

No, unfortunately this isn’t the case yet.

Is there an up-to-date user manual for the Hawkeye?

Yes. Is there a user manual in different languages?

Hawkeye Pro is supplied with quick start guides in French and Spanish. A full guide is also being translated into French for May publication.

Where do I get the installation code for Hawkeye?

Obtained via technical.support@omitec.com.

Can the Hawkeye be programmed in different languages and how do you go about it?

At purchase stage, we can change the language for the customer. The tool always has two languages, English is one of them plus the extra foreign language.

Do you have a manual explaining all the functions in the system?

A CDROM is available with full user instructions.

Can you send a list of code definitions or are they posted online somewhere?

Code definitions are available with the Codebreaker manual (supplied seperately at extra cost).

Is there an operators manual that outline tests, process and expected results?

See codebreaker manual.

Is there an online support forum?

No, but there are many LR forums on the web, forum.landrover.com, http://www.landyzone.co.uk, http://www.lro.com/forum3/.

Discovery 2 I recently bought a new old stock key and fob. Hawkeye seems to require longer codes than the “inner” codes on the circuit board and immobiliser chip within the fob. I assume that these printed codes fit into a standard outer code so how is this assembled?

No information at the moment sorry.

Will it turn from coil spring to air spring and vice versa?

Yes, possible but be careful with other implications.

Can it programme a key fob and how?

No information at the moment sorry.

Can it code the injectors and how?

Yes this is supported. It is very easy, just follow the instructions on-screen.

Can it read MAF faults on TD5?

Yes, should be able to read any.

Can it bleed brakes on ABS? Yes.

Classic Range Rover Can Hawkeye access the air suspension on the classic?

The system is the same as on later models but since the connector on the vehicle in a non OBD type we have never created a dedicated cable for the special socket on this type of vehicle.

P38 P38 2.5 diesel and he’s realised that it’s gone to petrol mode when it’s a diesel, he doesn’t know how to change it back. Does he need another code? Now the dash board keeps indicating engine cut-off.

Any ideas why?

Go back to Main Menu, enter EMS, select engine type.

The Airbag module shows “Link error” both with the BA 5077 connected and without. The info from the Hawkeye leaflet is that the airbag feature starts at MY98 and mine is a ‘97. Is this most likely the problem? and if so, is there a module or wiring to communicate with the earlier airbag CPU (TRW MPS)?

At present, it only supports 1998 onwards, not earlier.

Can the instrument cluster be programmed with the Hawkeye?

No. Can the Hawkeye synchronize fuel injection ECU with BeCM? Yes. The manual will explain how to perform this.

Do any Air Flow Meters diagnostics exist in Hawkeye for 2.5 diesel and V8 petrol?

Yes, we will show live data.

Can it reprogramme BeCM? Some program functions are available. See CDROM. Will Hawkeye calibrate my suspension?

No this will not be possible.

L322 I have a Range Rover TD6 2005 transmission gm5140e, has it live data for the transmission?

The manual shows the menu structure and also the available functions for the two different gear boxes we support.

Some customers have requested if Hawkeye Pro supports new Range Rovers Model Year 2012?

Partly, this is not 100% correct. V1 only handles up to 2010MY, but it could happen that some modules have been carried over to 2012MY we cannot guarantee.

Range Rover Sport Which model does it cover? Or is it open to all the Range Rover models?

All models, although again here we claim to cover up to 2010MY. Anything beyond has not been validated and cannot be guaranteed.
