PA Cyber’s summer activities offer students of all age groups opportunites to learn something new and have fun while school’s out. Go on an adventure, learn a new skill, and get to know your peers. We offer a mix of virtual and in-person programs. These activies do not offer credit toward graduation.

Caterpillars to Butterflies K-2

Watch nature come alive with butterfly metamorphosis: the amazing process of how caterpillars become butterflies. Club members will receive a kit complete with caterpillars and lodgings. In each session, we will discuss changes and progress. After our caterpillars emerge as butterflies, we release them into the world!

Enjoy fun, adventure, and learning in the great outdoors at the beautiful 234-acre Asbury Woods! Students in K-6 will enjoy hikes and scavenger hunts for living and non-living things. They will conduct wetland explorations, including water quality tests, and learn about and identify fish, amphibians, and reptiles that live in Asbury Woods. This experience includes interacting with live animals, completing animal crafts, and exploring the habitats where these animals live outdoors.

Students will develop teambuilding skills while working together to complete a compass course and use handheld GPS units to locate geocaches. Participants will also hike the Walnut Creek area, play in the water, and enjoy smores!

Then, we’ll take what we observed in the field and use our imagination to create our very own Pokémon and Pokémon cards. Students will then bring their creations to life using a laser cutter!

Engineering Exploration Experience: The Healing Nature of Engineering

For bedazzled bags to tricked out threads, join the Polytechnic team at your local regional office and design your own gear. Students will have the opportunity to use a vinyl cutter to customize their designs in combination with other fashion techniques like tie-dye, bleach art, or fabric markers.

Students will participate in an adventure of exploration and excitement! Set against the backdrop of towering climbing walls, students will not only learn climbing techniques but will also participate in teambuilding activities, active and fun games, as well as art and craft activities.

Join us for a trip to Washington D.C. Students will have the opportunity to visit the African American Museum or the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, then at 2pm there will be a 3-hour walking tour of the monuments and memorials. Charter buses will pick families up at one of four regional offices (Allentown, Harrisburg, Greensburg, PGH Warrendale). At the end of the day, charter buses will return families to the regional offices. This field trip is for PA Cyber students and immediate family only.

Enjoy arts activities and engage in games while you make new friends and learn collaboration this summer! Alongside your peers, you will build confidence and creativity through painting, sculpting, and crafting, as well as activities that will take your breath away, like singing, creative movement, and more! Activities will vary by location.
