Dear Friends,

As we emerge from one of the most challenging times imaginable, we are grateful for the opportunities that have allowed Parents And Children Together (PACT) to make impactful changes by stepping up in this time of crisis to drive our mission forward with intensity and compassion What we’ve quickly realized is the hard work that we’ve accomplished over the past 50+ years has prepared our team for the challenges that we never saw coming.

Our mission continues to be more relevant than ever before as we work together with Hawaii’s children, individuals, and families to create safe and promising futures. We are privileged to help communities break through barriers and forge their own paths to brighter futures

Families without internet access were provided with hotspots and computer tablets for distance learning and other critical resources to bridge the digital divide. When schools closed unexpectedly, grab-and-go meals and groceries were distributed to keiki and families living in poverty and facing hunger many for the very first time. Stay-at-home orders revealed how homes were unsafe as domestic violence and child abuse cases spiked, filling our emergency shelters to capacity and forcing our social services team into overdrive to deliver lifesaving support. The pandemic provided a magnifying glass on the impacts of mental health in our communities. Despite grave shortages, free PPE supplies were distributed to our hardest hit communities, keeping families safe and PACT’s services going strong without interruption.

We are thrilled to share the enclosed impact report highlighting what we’ve been able to accomplish with your continued support and partnership. And while it’s always helpful to look back, we are excited about what the future will bring.

As we continue to meet the evolving needs of the people of Hawaii, we are embarking on new initiatives that will walk alongside individuals, families, and communities to thrive in their own space. We commit to deepen our knowledge and relationships with a people-centered focus to cultivate more resources and opportunities. In the coming months, we will share with you the details of our plans and hope that you will consider taking this next incredible journey with us.

On behalf of the PACT team, our clients, and the entire community, thank you for your dedication, steadfast commitment and unwavering support

With aloha,

Educational and Technology Support
