”If something works, don’t touch it unless you want to improve it”. This simple maxim, applicable to any subject in any time or circumstance, is one of the basic principles of our company philosophy. But it is also true that “if something doesn’t evolve, in the end it will die”. The conflict arises when we try to improve a good product that has demonstrated its reliability and performance for many years, as it is the case of the Eolo aspiration unit. What should we change? Where is the potential for improvement? This is the dilemma that our design team had to face when dealing with the Eolo Plus project. However, in MESTRA we know perfectly that “renewing” doesn’t mean starting from scratch and changing everything for its own sake: renewing means applying –wherever it is admitted– the experience and technological advances gathered during the life of the product, but maintaining those aspects that worked well. You can find a good example of this philosophy in our Eolo Plus unit. a product that, after the work of our engineers, has gone from being good to being excellent. In the following lines we will show you why.

Chassis
One of the initial premises of our technical team was to maintain the same size, shape and aesthetics of the previous model. Our previous experience with customers and users showed that these features were simply perfect: its prismatic shape –unlike in rounded shaped units– fits perfectly in one side of the workbench, taking up minimal space. Besides, the aspiration hose enters the unit in the upper rear side, a perfect place to operate above the level of the table.
The wheels and the upper side handle allow to move the unit with almost no effort. The main advantage over static aspiration units is that its movement simplifies tasks such as cleaning of the floor, replacing the filters or approaching the unit to the workbench. The controls are placed in the upper front side, a perfect place to handle the unit from a sitting position. On the other hand, it still is aesthetically attractive: a graceful line with wide bevels; the proportion and sobriety of the shape; its integration in the prismatic body...It is an aesthetical model in this type of product.

Filter
A dental aspiration unit should be prepared to work with extremely abrasive materials such as aluminium oxide, the diamond powder detached from the polishing drills, silicon carbide, etc. Therefore, in this type of units it is essential an efficient filtering system. The unit features a set of filters distributed in three stages: most of the dust is collected in a bag, which makes the cleaning and replacing the filters easier. An intermediate fibre filter protects the last link of the chain: a highly efficient cartridge filter. Thanks to these three elements, all the dust and the particles are collected, even the particles that can be harmful for the health. They also protect the machine to prolong its working life.
Besides, the Eolo Plus aspiration unit is fully compatible with the MESTRA R 080535 Ciclón, able to eliminate up to 98% of the dust before entering the machine, so that the filters and the machine will have a longer working life. The two units together form a very high performance tandem.

Thanks to a set of practical wheels, the unit can be easily moved to facilitate tasks such as replacing the filters, sharing the unit with other workplaces, etc.
Maintenance
Many aspiration units designed for the dental lab have their filters and accessories in difficult access places, and it requires performing the maintenance in awkward positions. With the Eolo Plus you can forget this problem.

Our engineers have found a brilliant and new layout, by placing the filtering system in the upper lid, fully dismountable. To replace the filters only three simple steps are required:
1 Take the machine out of its place with the help of the handle and the wheels.
2 Open the lock with a simple “click” and remove the upper lid.
3 Now you can replace the filters in the most comfortable position for you: standing, over a table...
The first stage of filtering is a high capacity filter-bag.
The Eolo Plus has second stage of filtering, a high performance filter. The combination of the two stages of filtering allows aspirating all kind of materials, even abrasives such as aluminium or silicon oxide.
Motor
The motor is another strong point of the Eolo Plus aspiration unit. It features the most modern technology and has a working life much longer than that of the other dental units. Unlike in other models in the market, the brushes can be easily replaced. It is a simple operation and it can be carried out by the user in a few minutes. This replacement will double the working life of the unit, and it will cost only a small fraction of the cost of replacing the whole motor. The noise level of the Eolo Plus is surprisingly low. When operating at an intermediate power level, only a little humming is perceived, completely acceptable, not unpleasant even when using the unit for a long time.
Motor replacement
When the time to replace the motor arrives, it will scarcely take a minute, and you will need no tools. Just follow these simple steps:

1 Turn the unit.
2 Remove the lower lid by pulling the 4 locks with your hand.
3 Release the power connection and the two draw latches. Now you can remove the motor.
To install the new motor, proceed in reverse order.
Quick motor replacement, in scarcely one minute

Electronic controls

The control panel in the Eolo Plus aspiration unit is in the front of the machine, which ensures an easy access to the controls. It is a synoptic panel, so the lights, graphs and buttons are combined to allow a very intuitive operation of the unit.
• Microprocessor with specific control software.
• Control of the aspiration motor’s power. It is shown in the display.
• Detection of blockages in the aspiration inlet hose.
• The filling level of the filter is shown by means of a LED bar.
• Protection of the aspiration motor in case of forgetting to disconnect it. After 3 hours of continuous operation, the motor stops.
• Detection of micro-motors. This option allows the synchronized start-up of the unit when working with a micro-motor of any type (included brushless type).
• The system is automatically calibrated.
• The user can define the working parameters (disconnection time, power levels, etc.)
• Chance of synchronized operation in two workplaces
• Chance of synchronized operation together with a sandblaster.
