SolarWave is a social impact company that provides access to clean, safe and affordable water to people living in both urban & rural areas. We sell high-quality robust and durable water purification systems. Our mission is to become the leading supplier of safe and affordable high-quality water purification systems with guaranteed after-sales service throughout East Africa.
Since 2015, SolarWave Uganda Limited has successfully installed more than 500 high quality drinking water system solutions in Uganda and over 100 additional systems throughout Africa and the Middle East. We offer a range of high-quality brands from Canada, France, Germany and Sweden and can provide the right water treatment solution for almost every drinking water requirement. We presently sell SolarWave (Swedish Ultraviolet (UV) technology solutions), BIO-UV (French UV) and Viqua (Canadian UV). We are also the exclusive distributor of PAUL, a nanofiltration technology water purifier from Germany that requires no power, no spare parts and no maintenance. We also design and assemble affordable back up power systems – both solar and battery – ranging from 250 Watt to 1 MegaWatt.
Currently, the majority of our customers are schools located in Uganda. In 2021,
we initiated a customer diversification strategy and now NGOs and businesses (hotels, restaurants, offices) account for over 40% of our revenues. Our goal is to increase revenues significantly over the next two years, especially among NGOs, businesses as well as municipalities as customers.

Senior Sales/Business Development Manager (B2B)

• Manage and motivate a small and independent team (5 employees, to hire more employees on the medium term). Our current team requires little supervision; however, support with sales leads and training will be required. As Senior Sales/Business Development Manager, you are expected to lead by example and excel at closing large purchase/sales orders;
• Educate and convince existing and prospective customers to purchase our water treatment systems solutions and back up power systems. Identify opportunities to increase B2B sales and submit proposals and quotations;
• Lead the implementation of a new sales strategy, diversifying our client base;
• Answer customers’ questions regarding product pricing, availability, product features and benefits;
• Prepare relevant case studies to fully illustrate the advantages – time and costs savings - of our products versus buying bottled water along with the added benefits of drinking clean water;
• Highlight the importance of buying into a healthy lifestyle and emphasize each product’s features to show how our solutions can create a cost-savings and health enhancement solution;
• Market our philanthropic Good Water and Good Energy Project initiatives and recruit co-sponsors for our CSR programs;
• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas. Sales track record is a MUST. A minimum sales quota is expected for each quarter and each year. Closing sales leads is a requirement;
• Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to maintain an excellent working relationship. We presently work with the CRM software, VTIGER! Experience with a leading CRM software package is a definite plus;
• Assist the CEO in the execution of viable and effective sales and marketing strategies. Monitor the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
SolarWave Uganda - Senior Sales/Business Development Manager
Sales experience and an excellent track record are key. We seek an ambitious motivated Senior Sales/Business Development Manager who can deliver results in the short-term.
•At least three years of selling experience with a successful track record. Experience selling water treatment systems and/or back up power systems is a definite plus.
•University degree in Management, Business Administration or Sales & Marketing is preferable and advantageous.
•Excellent leadership and communication skills.
•Relationships with NGOs and local municipalities leaders/decisions makers is a definite plus.
•Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
•Sound consultative selling skills.
•Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Competitive Base Salary – depending on your sales experience and proven track record
