Vision2050 isdesigned tobebothinspirationalandpractical.Itoutlineswherewewanttogoasacityandsetsthe foundationforfutureCouncilstomakethoughtful,strategicchoices.Likeanyjourney,theroadwill haveitscurves,butourdestinationisclear:avibrant,welcoming,andconnectedOwenSound
Thestrengthofthisplancomesfromthepeoplewhoshapedit.Residents,communitygroups, businesses,andpartnersallsharedtheirperspectivesandaspirations.Thisengagementwasn’t aboutlisteningonce—itwasaboutbuildingtogether.Thecommunityiswovenintothisplanasa collaborator,withopportunitiesforeveryonetocontinuecontributingintheyearsahead.
Vision2050 willserveasacrucialtoolfortheCity.Itwillguidebudgets,decisions,anddailywork, whileensuringdepartments,Council,andpartnersareworkinginalignment.Above all,itprovidesaframeworkforcontinuedcollaborationbetweentheCityand thepeopleweserve.
