We have cattle from not only across Ontario but Quebec & Alberta as well. This passionate group of Blonde d’Aquitaine breeders have selected from the heart of their herds to bring you a “WOW” offering in all classes. Fancy heifer calves, ready to breed yearlings, bred heifers, bred cows, cow calf pairs and a wide selection of bull prospects for all your breeding needs. We encourage you to think ahead for spring, make your bull purchase now to be sure you’re secure and not without one when it’s time to swing the gate open at pasture time. There was a notable shortage in the prime season of ready to breed Blonde bulls available on the spring market in 2024. The quality of this year’s consigned males is exceptional, all with herd bull traits that are sought after and ready to improve your genetic base. We do regret to inform you that Butternut Blondes (Murphy & Judy Baker) are dispersing. They have put a tremendous amount of time, effort and thought into building their herd. While we can’t speak for them fully we do know that disposition & confirmation accompanied by good udder quality were aspects they put a lot of focus on. Forty Acre Caspian was a game changer herdsire at Ridge View, so much so that I raised a son to be his successor. If you’re looking for a proven, stylish, herdsire who you can confidently count on to cover a large number of cows, here’s your man! Jeremiah was put to work at 13 months of age, going out with 19 throughout the summer and ending up with a 100% conception rate. It was asking a lot, but he was up to the challenge. He’s got length, bone, muscle, and to top it off, a fantastic temperament. His powerhouse dam, Donaleen Bramalea took Grand Champion Female at Warkworth Beef Expo with Jeremiah as a calf at side in 2021. As a yearling, he brought home the Reserve Champion Junior Bull banner from the 2022 National in Markham. He sired all of our show calves last year, including the highly successful Ridge View Lexie, who was purchased by Schiestel Blondes at last year’s Cream of the Crop sale. Don’t let the 102lb birthweight scare you. Bull calf avg bw is 90lbs and heifer calf avg bw is 86lbs. He’s been used on cows and heifers and we’ve never touched a calf! Leviathan is a maternal brother of the two time National Champion bull WSS Celebration who went on to breed in the Crystal Farms and Bar K herds. Leviathan himself possesses more scale and muscle than his well known brother while still retaining similar volume and depth of body. Unfortunately a mixup at the lab has delayed his DNA results so we could not confirm his sire prior to catalogue printing. IMP Tito (R18237) is a recent French import bull that is classified as elite maternal with above average fertility, milk and muscle production. The alternate sire CIA Hussard 1D (R12) was an original import from France in the 1970’s, and a very good maternal sire with superior udder and milking ability according to Marcel Fouillard of Gold Rush & Sundance Farms fame. We decided to keep Leviathan in Alberta to support the 2024 National Blonde show at Farmfair in Edmonton, so here’s your chance to buy into the next potential National Champion, better yet come on down and maybe get in the picture too. Lachlan is this year’s Presidents Cup Winner for having the highest average daily weight gain. Packing big-time “maternal” punch with Charlie Brown, Roseneath William and WSS Mighty - bulls that EPDs speak for themselves and have proven multiple times their offspring are herd builders. Maryilyn is long, she’s square built and she’s been my standout heifer calf since she was born. She comes from the Farmin’ Eh Sierra cow family, who was a Bellevue’s Kenworth daughter. Sierra was the largest framed cow I’ve had and Bombshell inherited that trait as well. Coupling that with Donaleen Bramalea on the sire’s side, this flashy, feminine heifer has the potential to grow into a pretty powerful brood cow. At 10 years old, Bombshell backed her calving up by over a month this year, so you know there’s fertility built into this line, too! A bright future ahead for this one. Sire sells as Lot 1.
