We witnessed strength and acts of selflessness across the nation as our regional Schools stepped up to serve their communities in need; from no-contact meal delivery services to school supply drop-offs for kids. When the Covid-19 pandemic prevented wilderness expeditions from taking place, our team pivoted into innovation, developing health and safety practices as well as virtual programming to provide young people and educators with social and emotional learning tools during a time of urgent need. These and other successes, amidst a changing social, economic and political landscape, illustrate the endurance of our Outward Bound crew and its values, and reveal that we are, indeed, capable of more than we know. As our country and communities reopen, we’re not looking back. Our national programming is providing
RESILIENT TOGETHER In 2020, we grounded ourselves not in the singular ‘me’ but in the plural ‘we.’ We reminded ourselves there is far more in us than we know, and together, much can be accomplished—challenges can be overcome. 2
