Like their global counterparts, working women in India have come along way; they don’t face much of the hostility and discrimination that was intrinsic in the work place fifty years ago. They’re educated, intelligent and moving up the rungs of their professional careers at a fast pace. One can find women in various leadership positions - CEOs, CFOs, HR Heads – and they are even the most sought after women speakers in India. However, regardless of how successful women are today, many are still under represented at the top. Though discrimination does exist, studies and testimonials from successful women leaders have shown, that they too can be responsible for holding themselves back.
