MEET THE CAST AND CREW

Alyssa Harper is so excited to be able to work with the incredible artists at Outskirts Theater! She has been performing for 9 years and is a Musical Theater Major at UWMilwaukee. Alyssa would like to thank her family and friends for being the most supportive people on the planet. She couldn’t have done this without them.

Ashton Friedenberg (They/He) is so excited to make their Outskirts debut! As a performer, some of their favorite roles have included: Polonius (Hamlet, UWMilwaukee), Chairman (Edwin Drood, UWMilwaukee), and Urleen (Footloose, Summer Place Theater). In 2023, Ashton graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a BFA in musical theater. When not performing, Ashton teaches theater after school in the Milwaukee area as well as a preschool teacher at LeVillage Cowork. He would like to thank his friends and family who have supported them throughout this journey. You can continue to follow Ashton’s journey on instagram at @ashton.friedenberg.

Bekah Rose is excited to be making her Outskirts Theatre Co debut in Cruel Intentions! She is a writer and performer with a BFA in Acting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Select previous credits include Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley (Lydia Wickham), Sense and Sensibility (Marianne Dashwood), Into the Woods (Rapunzel) and Twelfth Night (Olivia).

Chris Budish is thrilled to be returning as light designer for Outskirts Theatre! He previously designed lights for BAT BOY. When he’s not working behind the scenes for OTC, he acts as Technical Director for the Menomonee Falls High School Theatre Department. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Donna Kummer is the Minister of Worship and Music for Plymouth United Church of Christ in Milwaukee, and also the Director of the Wauwatosa Community Band & Tosa Jazz. She has also served as a musical director, accompanist, or conductor (sometimes, all three!) for over 200 different productions with various professional, community, and school theatres in the Milwaukee area over the past 35 years. In her spare time, she is an avid bicyclist and game content creator on Twitch! twitch.tv/aubwon.

Dyllan Brown (she/her) is an original Artistic Associate at Outskirts since its inception in February of 2014 specializing in Marketing and Social Media. Past Stage Management Credits include Men on Boats, Addams Family the Musical Jr. both at Waukesha Civic Theatre, with multiple stagehand credits at Outskirts Theatre Co. over the past decade. On Stage credits include Next to Normal (Gabe), Wonderland - an Outskirts Theatre Co. Original (Cheshire Cat), and RENT (Angel) Please follow OTC on social media, and our website for all the latest!

Elena Behnke is thrilled to be part of the Cruel Intentions cast. In 2023, Elena graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in musical theater from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Since, she has worked in the Milwaukee theater and fitness communities. Past credits include La Cage Aux Folles (Anne), Hello Dolly (U/S Irene/ Ensemble), Firebringer (Emberly), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Rosa Bud), and Into the Woods (Cinderella). Elena also has a love of fitness and works as a coach at [solidcore].

MEET THE CAST AND CREW

Emma Losey is thrilled to be directing her first production with Outskirts Theatre Company! She has previously performed with Outskirts in Batboy the Musical (Shelley), Carrie (Helen), and Disenchanted (Cinderella). She’s thankful to have such a talented, hardworking cast and production team!

Ernesto Bell is thrilled for his sixth show with Outskirts! His favorite past performances include Man 1 (Songs for a New World), Judas (Jesus Christ Superstar), Black (Wild Party), Mitch (Spelling Bee), and El Gallo (The Fantasticks). Outside of theatre, Ernesto works with the adult population with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses as a heathcare administrator. He thanks each and every one of you who supports live theatre.

Evan Crain is the technical director at Waukesha Civic Theatre. Some shows he has designed and built include THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE, LIFESPAN OF A FACT, THE HUMANS, MAMMA MIA, and THE LANGUAGE ARCHIVE.

Jennifer Dobby is a director, intimacy director/choreographer, playwright, and script consultant. Jenn recently intimacy directed Witch at Renaissance Theatreworks, and intimacy directs regularly with Waukesha Civic Theatre, Outskirts Theatre Company, Delafield SummerStage, and Lake Country Playhouse. Jenn is a former Dramatists Guild Fellow, and proud member of both the Dramatists Guild and Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. She teaches at Carroll University, where she is also the Chair of the Department of Visual, Interactive and Performing Arts.

Jessica Mayer is thrilled to be making her Outskirts Theatre debut! Past credits include Sally/The Oracle in THE LIGHTNING THIEF MUSICAL (Carroll Players), ensemble in SWEENEY TODD (Carroll Players), and OG Howland in MEN ON BOATS (Waukesha Civic). Jess is also a director and playwright with works found on New Play Exchange. She currently teaches theatre classes, and will be teaching at WCT this spring. She thanks her family and her wonderful boyfriend for their continuous and enthusiastic support. Enjoy the show!

Kate Olson is ao excited to be back on stage with Outskirts! Kate studies Versatile Vocal Performance at UW-Milwaukee under Shallece Peters. Previous Outskirts credits include La Cage Aux Folles (Odette/Colette) and Bat Boy (Clem/Ensemble). Other favorites: Legally Blonde (Brooke Wyndham), The Addams Family (Alice Beineke), Stupid Fucking Bird (Mash), The Importance of Being Earnest (Lady Bracknell), Into The Woods (Florinda). Love and thanks to family, friends, and the Cruel Intentions team!

Larissa Beckman is thrilled to be a part of Cruel Intentions as her first production with Outskirts Theatre Company! She is currently pursuing her BFA in Musical Theatre with a Dance Performance Minor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Previous UWM credits of hers include Lady Lucille in Once Upon A Mattress, Jeanne/Ensemble in State Fair, Ensemble in Bright Star, and Tess in UW-Milwaukee’s Honors College production of Marjorie Prime. Larissa is an aspiring teaching artist, and after graduation hopes to pursue a professional career as a performer. She would like to thank her friends and family for their constant love and support. Madison Van Allen is honored to be joining Outskirts Theatre in her first production as a stage manager! She is so excited to be working with such a kind and talented cast and crew. When she’s not behind the scenes, Madison can be seen onstage, most recently as Ashley in Theatrical Tendencies’ production of THE VULTURES. Special thanks to the entire production team for allowing her to step outside her comfort zone and for their endless encouragement and support and to her partner Zach for feeding her for the past three months!

Margaret Teshner is delighted to be back with Outskirts on the WCT stage. Some of her favorite previous roles include: Violet (9 TO 5), Elizabeth Benning (YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN), Angel (BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TX), Witch (BIG FISH), Columbia (ROCKY HORROR SHOW), Sally (REEFER MADNESS), and Priestess (JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR). She hopes you leave feeling alive and ready to thrive.

Mason Shefchik is honored to be involved in his first show with Outskirts Theatre. He received his training at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts where his credits include ONCE UPON A MATTRESS (King Sextimus the Silent), STATE FAIR (Wayne Frake), THE RIVALS (Fig), and THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD (The Reverend Mr. Crisparkle/Ensemble). Other credits include TWELFTH NIGHT (Sebastian) at Play-by-Play Theatre and NEWSIES (Elmer/Race u/s) at Sunset Playhouse. You can also find Mason teaching private lessons at Wauwatosa School of Music, coaching classes at [solidcore] in Brookfield, or working the front of house for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

Nathan Broege is thrilled for his third mainstage production design here inside Civic with Outskirts. Nathan is more recognizable after playing Robert in “The Play That Goes Wrong” and Richard Bailey in “Kinky Boots” the previous two seasons. However, he is best known for working on various sound designing projects here at Waukesha Civic in affiliation with Outskirts Theatre Co., and has been delighted to return to this wonderful venue time and time again. His previous design credits include Bridges of Madison County, Heathers, Rent, Emma! A Pop Musical, and Cinderella. Thank you to Alexa, his family, friends, and cats for all the continuous support! Go support the arts. Now, more than ever.

Olivia Berger is thrilled to be in her second Outskirts Production, Cruel Intentions! She is currently studying Music (Voice) at UWMilwaukee under Shallece Peters. Her most recent shows include Kinky Boots (Ensemble), Bat Boy (Ensemble), and Legally Blonde (Elle Woods). She thanks her family, friends, Shallece, Cruel Intentions team and cast mates for all their support!

Samantha Paige is the Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer of OTC. Most recently she was seen on stage at LCP as Anna in NIGHT SKY, and at WCT as John Powell in MEN ON BOATS. Favorite roles include Sally Bowles (CABARET), Mae (REEFER MADNESS), Martha (CHILDREN’S HOUR), Snow White (DISENCHANTED!). Choreography credits include BAT BOY (OTC), LA CAGE (OTC), HEATHERS (OTC), CARRIE (OTC), DISENCHANTED! (OTC), among many others. In addition to her work as performer, director, and choreographer, Samantha has been teaching dance and musical theater at a wide range of studios, schools, theaters, and universities for over two decades.

Stefan Kent is excited to be performing with Outskirts Theatre Co. for the first time! He holds an MFA in Acting (International) from East 15 Acting School and is a member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. Selected credits include: Rosencrantz in Hamlet (SummerStage of Delafield); Bolingbroke in Richard II (Voices Found Repertory); Bo in Appropriate (E15); Malvolio in Twelfth Night (E15); Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing (Shakespeare’s Globe Higher Ed Acting Residency); Shrek in Shrek the Musical (Home and Community Options); Gabe in Next to Normal (Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota).

Thom Cauley is overjoyed to finally join Outskirts. Thom has been involved in theatre as long as he can remember. From a Tin Man with Bombshell, to a graceful bookworm with Forte, countless Shakespeare roles with Boozy Bard, experimental shows with Quasimondo, choreographing, songwriting, to original works like his educational cabaret on Autism 'The Spectrum Revisited'. Thank you to this amazing cast and crew for building a fun, warm and supportive space to bring this radical risque pastiche to life.
