the 3 but don’t be an asshole. It helps. It’s not about trying to be successful but in this industry like most, this is a group effort. You’re not alone. So keeping that in mind, there are lots of artist with egos but a dose of humility and treating people kindly goes along way. We all start at very little if not at zero. It helps when you’re a kind person and you don’t take that for granted. So ALWAYS have a little humility and don’t be an asshole HAHA! Have you compromised your artistic eye for business? No. I haven’t. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with collectors, private commission or Art Directors that are looking for something in particular and Bliss 36” x 24” Oil on board

they want something that is uniquely yours. I’ve been very fortunate to be able to have a dialogue with someone that wants what I am able to provide and at the same time satisfy their desire and be able to collaborate. When you’re dealing with someone who has an idea in mind, it’s also about knowing how to take directions in certain parts and if you’re having a commission done; sometimes it’s best to establish that from the very beginning because that is what I’ve been trained to do. With Art Directors you have to comply with that and be happy with what you create. I’ve been very fortunate to not be able to do that. How has technology affected the way you do art? It’s affected it in an awesome way. I’ve been able to reach a broader audience much faster. My website is platform for people to see what I do not just a gallery. To this day I’ve been able to contact Artist that I would never been able to. Just the other day I spoke with an Artist regarding what would we be doing if we didn’t have technology, probably snail mail or a phone call? It’s given us a safe distance to communicate. I’ve been able to get in touch with artist that I love, a small dialoged and we all realize we are all on the same boat or on some

sort of hurtle we’ve all overcome. We have a mutual understanding. There’s still a line threat of overcoming some sort of adversity. What or whom are you influenced by? I think, that’s a good question. I try to dig into myself and use partly what’s going on in my life to fuel what I do especially consciously. I had a friend think I was somewhat biographical. There’s honesty there. I want to take my work and put it in an optimistic way. I want to reflect that and those around me as well; those who I care for. I tell their stories too not just mine. Where do you see yourself a year from now and 5 years from now? A year from now I hope to sign with a Art Gallery in New York. I would like a gallery to represent me full time and 5 years from now I would like to have several shows and be more content. You know that kind of thing.
