When readying to go on a trip it is common to pull a Ziploc baggie from the kitchen drawer and fill it with our little Nalgene bottles. Nalgene thought it would be nice if there was something a little sturdier and perhaps more stand-up-ish on the hotel sink. So they developed this kit to meet TSA regulations. It has a leakproof zipper in case any non- Nalgene bottles leak – like that travel sized shampoo, and the little carabiner is handy for hanging. The kit comes complete with four sub 100ml leakproof bottles with colour coded caps; one Q-tip vial, and one straight sided jar for pills or thicker gels and lotions. There is plenty of space left for the other liquids that you want to bring along.

With the useful bottles and vials in our travel kits, you can mix and match the containers that you need, and customise your necessities for each trip. Shampoo, mouthwash, creams and powders stay securely stored in the compact containers found in our small and medium kits. The sleek, foldable Katadyn BeFree Gravity filter system uses gravity to get the freshest, cleanest water you can always trust. The heart of the BeFree Gravity is the EZ-Clean Membrane offering a fast flow rate of up to 2 liters per minute. The water passes through a hollow fiber filter which safely removes bacteria, cysts and sediment with its pore size of 0.1 micron (0.0001 mm). Thanks to the water level indicator window, it is clearly visible when refilling is necessary. The practical carrying strap allows you to haul a full filter back to camp effortlessly, where it can be hung in a nearby tree. The output hose can easily be removed using a quick-release valve with automatic flow-stop, to prevent contact with contaminated water when refilling.

The capacity of the filter is up to 1000L, depending on water quality. To clean the EZ-Clean Membrane, just shake or swish it in water in the field or at home.

VARIO FILTER

In the outdoors, you need a water filter for all conditions - clear or dirty water, the award winning Katadyn Vario is adjustable to different conditions. The filter eliminates bacteria, protozoa, cysts, algae, spores and sediments. Reduces chemicals and improves taste and odor thanks to a replaceable activated carbon granulate.

The Katadyn Vario uses ceramic as a cleanable dirt shield and glassfiber for microbiological filtration with minimal pump resistance. In “LONGER LIFE” mode, the turbid water is first prefiltered through the ceramic disk and has an output of approx. 1L/min. When operating in mode “FASTER FLOW”, the water is directed straight to the glassfiber membrane, increasing the water flow to up to 2L/min.

A dual piston mechanism provides continuous water flow with minimal effort, the rubber base a secure stand and an integrated bottle thread fits directly on Nalgene bottles (wide mouth).

Tango 360 is the integration of our Tango connector with a highly efficient swivel and overload indicator that activates when stressed with a load between 200 and 300kg. Frog Nude is the disassembled version of our popular Frog unidirectional connector. It is supplied disassembled and without markings, to allow our customers to personalize it with their own logo and mount it on leashes, lanyards, camera harnesses and so on...

Unlike the standard version, the Frog Nude is not a PPE, it is not certified and therefore not suitable for human load.

PANIC CONNECTOR

Self-closing carabiner with semi-rigid webbing: an aid to reach the most distant bolts! Panic is fitted with tubular webbing with an inner flexible bar that allows it to be held straight or slightly curved. A special connector equipped with an ingenious system that keeps the gate open until it comes into contact with the bolt. At this point the mechanism releases the gate and the connector closes automatically. The mechanism also prevents accidental gate opening when it is under load. Panic is perfect for reaching and clipping distant bolts while onsighting, projecting and exploring new routes.

BACK UP W/OVALONE CARBON SCREW GATE

Safe and simple to use with only one hand! Back-up is the revolutionary Kong fall arrester that follow the operator in both directions and stop the possible falling. Shifting the special button on the lock mode, it can be used also as a positioning device or a normal locking device. Due to its special manufacture, Back-up supports also the strongest stress in semi dynamic way avoiding the shocking effects on the ropes caused by the traditional self-locking devices with toothed cams. FUTURA HAND

A revolutionary rope clamp for its extremely tiny dimensions (only 125g) and ergonomic shape. DUCK

Innovative ultra-compact emergency rope clamp. Designed for single ropes with a diameter between 8 and 13mm, Duck also works on slings mod. Yaku Vario and Aro Sling Tubular. Very small in size, it is easy to insert even with one hand. In addition, the large attachment hole also allows the rotation of the locking carabiners. Duck was born as an emergency ascender useful in recovery maneuvers, self-rescue, progression in preserves and as a regulator for lanyards or webbing.

HYDROBOT

Hydrobot is a special tool conceived for modern canyoning; it can be used both with one or two ropes and allows easy braking variation under load. Compared to other models, Hydrobot helps prevent accidental loss, avoids rope twisting and avoids wear on the connector.

The characteristic which makes Hydrobot unique is the possibility to use it as an auto-locking device in case of emergency, ascending on one or two ropes (in conjunction with a Prusik knot). The possibility of overturning the central bar (fixed by a screw) allows use by left-handers. Hydrobot is the only descending device fitted with a magnet to retain the mobile bar!

SLYDE

Thanks to the same principle of knots, SLYDE is an ingenious adjuster for ropes that reduces impact forces. It can be used with ropes with a diameter between 9mm and 10mm.

The user can self-make its own system that can be created choosing the most appropriate way for the situation on-point, by taking into account types of rope and connections, number of forces involved, weights, environmental conditions (wet, dust, snow… make the rope stiffer and not so sliding), wear, and what could happen during use. When correctly evaluated, those parameters allow to obtain a system fine-tuned according their requirements.

OKA ALU

Descender especially conceived for canyoning, designed not only for progression on rope but also for use in emergency, recovery and rescue situations which are very difficult to manage with other devices. Quick, safe and effective function in all conditions. The ease of operation, diversity of progression techniques on ropes of different diameters, and the multitude of braking positions are characteristics achieved through its joint development with rescue technicians. GI-GI

Multipurpose hot-forged aluminum plate for use with single, double and twin ropes. Its main applications are self-locking belaying for one or two seconds and abseiling. The central rib acts as a fulcrum on the connector and allows the recovery of two people, even secured to ropes of different diameter, either simultaneously or separately. In the case of a fall, only the rope subjected to the fall blocks, leaving the other free to slide.

CHUY

The Chuy is a belay and rappel device that works on half, twin and single ropes. Very light, the user can change the braking capacity thanks to the “V” shape notches, so as to modulate the effort of the user according to their own weight, the rope used, and all those factors that modify friction and consequently the braking. It gives a smooth feed, strong braking and a great look. It is recommended for use with HMS screw sleeve connectors.

FUTURA MINI BLOCK

Low friction pulley fitted with a locking device that can be engaged and disengaged through the special pawl. Compact and lightweight, conceived for mountaineering and rescue. Properly used in recovery, it becomes fundamental for the preparation of simple or double hoists in rescue and self rescue. Miniblock belongs to the ultra compact “Futura” family of blockers, which can be used in case of emergency and for climbing.

ZIP EVO

Evolution of the first pulley with an integrated connector which eliminates any possibility of error. Improved handle ergonomics and simplicity of use thanks to the new lever which can be opened with one hand. The special design ensures correct positioning on the rope in any situation. Equipped with ball bearings for perfect smooth rolling. It works on both ropes and metal cables up to 13 mm in diameter.

KISA ALU

Thanks to controlled rope slipping, KISA (Kong Impact Shock Absorber) is suitable to create shock absorbing systems. It can be used in two configurations, via two set of holes suitable for different diameters of rope (around 9mm or 11mm), allowing various degrees of friction.

FULL RIGGING PLATE

A belay plate that can be used in many different conditions. It is a very useful device for rescue operations, the natural choice for mountain experts. It allows a cleaner belay point, avoiding tricky and cumbersome chains of carabiners and plates. The wide upper hole is able to accommodate two connectors for higher safety. When used as a descending device, it works with ropes from 8 to 12mm.

DANCER

Aluminum swivel, prevents ropes from twisting during the suspension of a load. Ideal for heavy loads. Smooth movement at high loads (42 kN) thanks to the ball bearing.

LOTOR

Multi-directional openable ring, suitable for semi-permanent equipment connection. Ensures optimal load distribution in any position. Uniform load of 22 kN in all directions, it is tested according to the recent UIAA 130 (Load Sharing Device). It allows more than two devices to be connected, distributing the load evenly. Wide 15 mm opening that allows ropes with sewn terminations to be inserted. Removable gate by slotted screw that does not require the use of special tools, just a simple flat screwdriver. Asymmetric shape that eliminates the chance of assembly error. Available in 2 sizes, with internal diameter of 42 and 48 mm.

SPELEAGLE HAMMER

Innovative compact zinc plated steel hammer with lightweight head, specifically designed for mountaineering, caving and rescue. Equipped with two hexagonal keys to tighten the screws, one of 13mm in the handle and one of 17mm shaped in the hammer head. Fitted with an ergonomic rubber handle and 8mm tape for a safe handing. New Lunar White finish. Zinc-Nickel treatment that, compared to normal black galvanizing, offers double resistance to corrosion and longer life.

ARO TUBULAR SLING

DAISY CHAIN DYNEEMA
