All facilities will be subject to appropriate COVID protocols as needed.
Your Southeastern ID is used across campus. Getting into your residence hall, working out at the gym, and attending campus events are all made easy with this multi-purpose card.
The primary uses of your Southeastern ID include:
• Student Identification
• Lion’s Lagniappe
• Meal Plans
• Cub Cash
• Residence hall access
• Access to sporting events
• Access to special campus events
• Campus transportation (Lion Traxx)
As a Southeastern student, you are required to have a university issued ID, which you will receive after you have completed your Orientation session. Should you ever lose your ID, you can report it lost (or found) to University Police, the Campus Card Operations office, or online at southeastern.edu/GET.
The Southeastern ID truly is your buying-dining-identifying card. Learn more about the Lion’s Lagniappe account and the easy, online way to manage your account on the next page.

No cash? No worries! Use your Southeastern ID to make purchases on and off campus.
The Lion’s Lagniappe Account allows your Southeastern ID to work like a debit card. There’s no cost to open the account, and you can add funds at anytime. With Lion’s Lagniappe there’s no need to carry cash. Just swipe your ID to make a purchase, and the amount is automatically deducted from your account. It’s that easy.
You can use your Lagniappe account to make on-campus purchases at the Bookstore, Document Source, the Student Activity Center, the Health Center, vending machines, and all dining facilities, as well as at several off-campus merchants. A complete list of Lagniappe locations can be found at southeastern.edu/GET.
We make this simple AND fun! Manage your account online with GET which allows you to make deposits, track Lagniappe and Cub Cash balances, view transaction histories, report an ID lost or found, access the complete list of places where Lagniappe and Cub Cash can be used, and more!
You can activate Lion’s Lagniappe during registration in Workday with the following steps:
• Log into Workday
• Click the Academics app
• In the Housing, Meal Plans, Lion’s Lagniappe box click Housing Application, Meal Plans, Lion’s Lagniappe
• You will be taken to StarRez where you will select Lion’s Lagniappe
• From the drop-down menu, select the amount you’d like to load then select Save & Continue
Southeastern’s residential community is home to over 2,700 students. Residents live only a short walk or Lion Traxx ride to classroom buildings, the library, computer labs, dining locations, and the Student Union. A section of some residence halls is designated for special interest housing communities, including students involved with Living Learning Communities, sororities and fraternities.
University Housing at Southeastern is convenient, comfortable and a great way to meet other Southeastern students and get involved on campus. Our 10 residence halls, apartments and Greek houses offer more than a place to sleep or study – they offer community, connections to Southeastern and Hammond, and a caring environment.
You’ll meet students from all over the world, many with vastly differing backgrounds, but often with similar goals: to succeed academically, to discover their on campus community and to learn more about themselves and others.

Campus safety is a priority at Southeastern. We have taken specific measures within the residential community to provide a safe and secure living and learning environment for our residents including:
Exterior door card access: Exterior doors to all residence halls are locked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The university identification card is used for entry by presenting the card to the access reader at the main entrance to each building. Stairwell doors are exit only. All guests must be escorted at all times.
Room door access: Two halls feature card access to individual resident rooms. Residents in the remaining halls are issued a room key at check in. Students are highly encouraged to lock their room doors when they are not in their rooms. There are a total of 650 access readers throughout the residential community.
Security cameras: There are 255 security cameras within the residential community. The cameras are placed in interior common areas, at exterior doors, and in parking lots, which are in compliance with the University’s Campus Camera Policy.
Emergency Blue Phones: There are 48 emergency phones located inside the residence halls and 12 emergency phones located outside throughout the residential facilities. These emergency phones are linked directly to the University Police Dispatcher and monitored 24 hours a day.
Visit www.southeastern.edu/liveoncampus for virtual tours and additional room details.

Live well. Eat well.
Our meal plans are flexible so you can get the most out of them. With the exception of the Commuter 300 Plan, there are two parts to each meal plan. The Meal Allowance enables you to choose how many all-you-care-to-eat meals you want included in your plan (these meals are consumed at the Mane Dish). Cub Cash is declining balance dollars and supplements the weekly meal allowance to be used at all campus food service locations.
Once you have your meal plan, your student ID works like a debit card. Just swipe your card, and the meal charge is deducted from your account.
If you have a resident plan, your Cub Cash balance rolls over from fall to spring semester. However, any unused balance at the end of the spring semester will expire. With a commuter plan, Cub Cash will roll over until used. However, if your voluntary or commuter plan is left dormant for over one year, it will expire.
Sign up for your meal plan during registration or visit the Dining Services office located on the first floor of the Student Union.

Student input is critical in helping the departments of Auxiliary Services provide the products and services that Southeastern students want and need. We rely heavily on feedback from our students when considering new products and services or changes to existing ones. Through online surveys, in-person questionnaires, online feedback forms, focus groups, and even direct requests, we listen to what our students are saying!
The Auxiliary Services Student Advisory Board acts as a focus group to represent the student population at Southeastern concerning their opinions regarding the products and services made available by the Auxiliary Services Departments.
Auxiliary Services is committed to continuous improvement! If you are interested in having your voice heard by serving on our board please let us know by emailing auxiliary_services@southeastern.edu. We look forward to hearing from you!
