HUDSON STREET PILOT ASSESSMENT
Cost Estimate Assessment
The cost assessment tool examines the total cost for the five home element categories and five yard element categories that were evaluated. The darker colors represent the costs for level 2, minor repairs, and the lighter colors represents the costs for level 1, major repairs along the Hudson Street section. There is a higher dollar value for Level 2 repairs because more houses had minor damage than major along the street. The cost to remove litter was not estimated as community programs exist to help pick-up litter.
Estimated Costs by Element and Level of Need Assessment Element
Approximately $153,000 necessary to make repairs to improve the image of the pilot corridor. Only one-fourth of cost needed to make major repairs as the corridor is in relatively good condition.
