Restoring Hope...Transforming Lives ~ Since 1995

Beyond Graduation: Walking Forward in Hope

Graduation is a huge milestone, but we know that real transformation continues long after someone leaves our Life Transformation Recovery Program. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Aftercare, a program designed to walk alongside men and women as they step into life after graduation. It’s all about staying connected, offering encouragement, and reminding our graduates that they’re never alone on this journey.

We are especially excited to share that this program brings together graduates from across the years, from those who completed the program as far back as 2009 to our newest graduates, who will be graduating this upcoming April 2026. This wide span of participation reflects the lasting impact of the Life Transformation Program and the desire for continued growth, connection, and accountability long after graduation day.

Our Aftercare Program follows a monthly structure that balances growth, connection, and fun.

Week One: An in-person gathering where participants continue their journey using the second book of The Genesis Process, building on the strong foundation already laid during the program.

Week Two: A Zoom check-in that creates space to share victories, talk through challenges, and receive encouragement from others who truly understand the journey.

Once a Month: A planned fun activity that celebrates community and reminds everyone that joy and healthy relationships are an important part of recovery.

Last Week of Each Month: A self-care week, giving graduates intentional space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with healthy rhythms that support lasting recovery.

We also asked Greg, our Director of Life Transformation Programs, what he hopes Aftercare will provide for our graduates:

“My hope is that we provide an ongoing community of recovery for our graduates. As they return to life outside the Program, they experience a whole new set of challenges screaming for their time and attention. Our desire is to provide a safe space for spiritual growth and for dealing with the struggles of this life, while also creating an environment where they can build healthy, lifelong relationships with others who have experienced life transformation through faith in Christ.”

We are so excited to walk with each participant through this next chapter, celebrating victories, supporting them through challenges, and building a community that truly feels like family. Aftercare is not just a program; it’s a commitment to continue showing up, long after graduation day has passed.

Tiny Homes, BIG Love!

The Story of Camp Mercy

“I hate my life. I want to change, but I don’t know how.”

Those words are often the starting point for men who come to Camp Mercy, the Mission’s Tiny House Village. They arrive broken, tired, and unsure of what comes next. They come because they’ve heard something different happens here.

And it does!

At Camp Mercy, real change takes root. Sixty-five percent of men who arrive directly from the street leave clean and sober, employed, with savings in the bank, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Camp Mercy is more than housing. It’s a place where clear expectations meet genuine care. Men are given structure, accountability, and practical tools to rebuild their lives, but just as importantly, they are met with compassion. For many, it’s the first time someone has truly believed in them. From day one, Camp Mercy Coordinator Jackie Smith walks alongside each man, offering encouragement, honesty, and unwavering support. Residents are expected to work or attend school, live clean and sober, manage their finances, and fully engage in the program. These expectations restore dignity, build confidence, and create healthy routines, often for the first time in their lives.

While Camp Mercy believes lasting change begins with understanding God’s purpose, professing faith is not required to participate. Men from all backgrounds are welcome. The program is grounded in Biblical values like accountability, integrity, responsibility, and respect for self and others. What truly sets Camp Mercy apart is personal accountability. Progress is reviewed weekly, goals are revisited often, and honesty is essential. This consistent support helps men take ownership of their choices, and their future.

Stories of Transformation

Tom arrived, weighed down by court-related debt and limited options. Through commitment and guidance, he paid off every dollar, rebuilt his credit, and moved into independent housing. Today, he’s thriving.

Peter came, struggling to manage structure. With support, he found steady employment, resolved legal obligations, and purchased a car, key steps toward independence. He continues to grow and succeed at Camp Mercy.

Matt endured a life marked by significant trauma, loss, and hardship. Despite these challenges, he earned his high school diploma and is continuing his education in the medical assisting field. His growth reflects resilience and a renewed vision for his future.

Because of stories like these, more men are waiting for the chance to enter Camp Mercy, men who want to work, take responsibility, and rebuild their lives. To meet this need, the Mission has applied to expand Camp Mercy by adding ten more Tiny Houses.

At Camp Mercy, tiny homes make room for big change, and even bigger hope.

With Gratitude,

Sprinkles of Hope

This holiday season, our clients gathered around tables covered in frosting, sprinkles, and cookies for a simple but meaningful time of Christmas cookie decorating. Conversation and laughter filled the room as creativity took over, some cookies were carefully designed, while others were joyfully messy.

For a little while, worries were set aside as everyone leaned into the fun, and enjoyed being together.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to celebrate the small things. For many of the people we serve, slowing down to enjoy something as simple as decorating a cookie or gingerbread house can be just as powerful as meeting a physical need. It builds connection, creates a sense of belonging, and forms memories rooted in hope and dignity.

In the midst of frosting and fellowship, hearts were encouraged, and the message of hope was clearly felt. These simple moments are often where healing begins, around a table, in shared laughter, and in being seen and valued.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside our clients and to celebrate these meaningful moments together, especially during the Christmas season when reminders of love and grace matter most.
