STRONGER LEADERS, BROADER HORIZONS

Embrace academic and personal growth through hands-on learning.

Some of your most important lessons won’t be taught in a lecture hall. Instead, what you learn will take you beyond the classroom. Depending on your field of interest, you’ll leave with more than just a diploma, but also prototypes, published articles, a robust resume, and industry connections. Our students intern across the globe, applying their education in real-world settings, exploring career options, and strengthening their portfolios for post-graduation work.

OU’s School of Aviation offers an Enhanced Air Traffic—Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI) program that allows qualified OU graduates to proceed directly to an air traffic control facility for on-the-job training, bypassing the FAA Academy. This program at OU is the first four-year Bachelor of Science degree program of its kind in the nation, giving graduates a big hiring advantage.

While interning with the OU School of Community Medicine, I shadowed physicians, collaborated with a pediatric research staff, volunteered within the community, and learned about the OU School of Community Medicine family. This experience really reaffirmed my desire to become a doctor. I am so thankful for the opportunity to learn from such an incredible and knowledgeable faculty and staff.”
