YOUR ACADEMIC DREAM TEAM: ACADEMIC DEANS & ADVISORS
Your dean’s office and your academic advisor are your first points of contact for academic questions. All of Ouachita’s deans are active classroom teachers in addition to their administrative roles, so they know where you are coming from. Your academic advisor will be a full-time faculty member from your area of study, as well. They understand how important it is for you to make timely progress toward your degree. You will see your advisor throughout the year to help with class schedules, degree plans and future opportunities.

LIVING THE RES LIFE: YOUR RESOURCES FOR LIVING ON CAMPUS
At Ouachita, we do life together. With 95% of Ouachita students living on campus, students are surrounded by opportunities to know one another and be known, and our residential life program is the prime example. To ensure that students’ experiences in our residence halls and apartments are positive, trained Residence Life staff members are available to listen to students’ struggles and resolve concerns, but also just to be a good friend and mentor. Residence halls are staffed by resident directors, and a student resident assistant coordinates each floor.
