Weather and facility conditions will be considered when determining the cancellation or modification of an activity. Activities may be cancelled and facilities closed at any time subject to the discretion of the Recreation Director. At all times, participants and guardians of participants have the ultimate responsibility to make decisions regarding participation in an activity based on weather conditions. Please call the Information Line, 701-551-7138, for updates when there is unfavorable weather conditions.
Mail in, drop off, or register online at wfparks.org. Please be sure to provide an updated email address when registering, as most communication is done through emails. Your privacy is respected and personal information is not sold or lent out to any outside parties. You will be contacted before activities begin. To confirm that you are registered or to check on an activity’s start date, please call 701-433-5360. You can find the registration form and online registration by scanning the QR codes on page 24.
If an activity does not fill or must be canceled for any reason, a refund will be issued. If a participant is sick or unable to attend due to an emergency, a credit will be issued to their account. Please contact the park district office if you or your child is unable to attend a class or program.
Scholarships may be available to West Fargo residents and West Fargo School District families with limited incomes. Eligibility is determined in accordance with the income guidelines of the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program. For more information call 701-433-5360 or see page 41.
The West Fargo Park District will make all reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that every qualified individual with a disability has an equal opportunity to enjoy all of its programs, services, and activities through the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), provided an individual meets essential eligibility requirements for participation. Please note that the ADA does not require the Park District to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or services, or impose an undue financial or administrative burden. If you or a member of your family requires special assistance or accommodations to participate, please call the park office at 701-433-5360 or email info@wfparks.org to discuss options.
The following policy was adopted because the West Fargo Park District cares about it’s patrons. Parents and guardians need to be on time when picking up their child from an activity or facility. Any child not picked up 20 minutes after an activity ends is considered an “unattended child.” Program leaders will remain on site until all patrons have left the premises. However, after 20 minutes, the West Fargo Police Department will be contacted to pick up the child and escort them to the proper authorities.
The West Fargo Park District does not carry insurance for participants. It is suggested to review your family’s personal health insurance plan to be sure it provides you with sufficient coverage and consult with a physician before starting any activity requiring physical exertion.
Each Participant may request one friend as a Buddy. The requested Buddy must also request you as their Buddy when registering to be considered a match. All other requests (multiple Buddies, Buddy Chain, etc.) will not be granted. Siblings are often paired together unless a specific request not to do so is made. However, if you want to guarantee they are on the same team, please make sure to place the sibling’s name in the Buddy request box. When siblings are placed together, unfortunately, any other Buddy requests will not be granted. To learn more about the Buddy Policy, please visit wfparks.org.
Two adults may request to coach together and the children of each coach are automatically matched. No other Buddy requests will be considered. If multiple teams are without a coach, unfortunately we may not be able to honor your requests to coach together, to ensure all teams have a coach.
Photos and video footage are periodically taken of people participating in a West Fargo Park District activity, attending an event, or using Park District facilities or property. Please be aware that by participating in an activity, attending an event, using facilities or property owned by the Park District, or sharing tagged or location check-in photos on social media, you authorize the Park District to use these photos and video footage for promotional purposes without any additional permission, compensation, or prior notice to you. Ladder League Format: Your ranking on a ladder is based upon your winning percentage (the ratio of points won to total points possible). Players will move up or down the ladder based on their winning percentage. The number of ladders is dependent upon the number of people who are involved.
3 Games to 15, win by 1 point; total scores after 3 games will be recorded and teams will be determined in each group for the following week.
If you are not able to commit to all 8 weeks but would like to play once in a while as a substitute player, contact Logan Kritzeck at logan@wfparks.org to be added to the list. This is free of charge to be a sub.
Each player will be responsible for finding a replacement if they are not able to play. This is the only way the ladder league will be successful. Players that are in one group could be a substitute for another group if desired. No make-up games due to the weather.
Do you want to improve your pickleball skills? This program is designed to take your pickleball game to the next level!
