While I am very concerned about the fate of rainforests, we also need to look after our own forests and woodlands as they are a vital store of biodiversity and carbon. We need to fight for every tree but we don’t need to go mad planting the wrong trees in the wrong places.
Letting our woodland regenerate is the best solution. It will cost a lot less and be more successful in the long run. ’
