One reason to apply that criteria is that solar eclipses happen on new moon. And the Lunar events closely mark end or start of Hebrew months, by the Rabbinical calendar. These were: 1914, 1664, 1626, 1254, 882, 472, 81, -291. This list sound be considered only as a sample, there are likely more.

Another partial search of Eclipses are those found on Aug21 and in month of Av. Here are 7 eclipses quickly found: 1933, 1645, 1273, 491, 472, -682, -1464.

Another partial listing of eclipses are those falling on Av30 but not August 21. There were 11 found: 2018, 1998, 1971, 1952, 100, -636, -1090, -1435, -1463, -1807, -2468, Another list is a catch all of eclipses in August and or month of Av. A sample look found 3, like: 1235, 863, -2078. An exhaustive list would take much time to compile.

There are likely many more to be found in such a loose time span.

An article at "Space" goes out of the way to not mention the Biblical mega soli-lunareclipse cycle found by Henry Grattan-Guinness, HGG, goo.gl/1Tetyf . Nor does it mention the 18th century work of Jean-Philippe de Cheseaux, that served as basis for HGG 19th century discovery. They go on to cite Gregorian eclipse dates on Aug21 between 1560&1914 as 1626ad,1645, & 1664ad. These dates are all metonic variants of the 391 year Grattan-Guinness, day, month, year cycle.

Space.co (goo.gl/MnBHj2) tries give a 457Y cycle but their listed eclipse is 1560Aug21Julian calendar date. So there is no "also occurred" in their meaning of same Gregorian date. Their date is verified as Av30, Aug31, Gregorian. This was confirmed by Julian day, 2291081.02, from eclipse calculator: goo.gl/iV3csT & by calendar program, goo.gl/Cw2MnC .

The cycle of 457Y really does not work well. For it gives 1103ad, 2474ad. But eclipse are in July or Sept for those years, 2474Jly14, 1103Sp10g. Neither does the 19 year cycle work either. Looking at years: 1998, 1979, 1960, 1941, 1922, 1903, 1884 gives no Eclipse for Aug21. However in 1979 was an Av30 Eclipse on Aug22.

Calendar metrics serve only to approximate celestial event projections. This is due to calendar drift and jitter, unaccounted tidal friction braking, and celestial events are non-linear in time, if considered in terms of hours and minutes. These facts preclude mapping of precise time events by linear calendar metrics. In other words for an evenly spaced time between several events, the calendar dates may not be precisely the same. Also there are slight variations from true and mean periodic functions used to approximate calendar time. A simple way to see this is by predicting next moon rise time by the average length of a moon. Perhaps for these reasons no eclipses are noted in scripture & scripture mentions only an observational calendar.
