Porch of King Solomon Temple: Dimensional Considerations

The dimensions of Solomon’s Temple porch are both irrefutable and astounding: Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, & of the houses thereof, & of the treasuries thereof, & of the upper chambers thereof, & of the inner parlors thereof, & of the place of the mercy seat… All this, said David, the Lord made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.

1Chrn28:11,19

the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, 20 cubits, & the height was an 100 & 20 {120cubits, 207feet or 20foors}: & he overlaid it within with pure gold.

2Chrn3:4

This height was so great that most decrease the porch height in Temple renderings. Yet there are no scripture refutations & the dimensions were written by David under direction from God. Even Herod’s Temple of Jesus time had a porch height far less than Solomons dimension, just 30cubits or 40feet? During the time of Herod’s Temple, the tallest tower was Antonio Fortress at just 70cubits. Solomon porch is thrice mentioned in NT, but never the height. Elsewhere also Solomon’s Porch is mentioned but

never the height. Ezekiel’s Temple is completely devoid of heights. So the only mention of Solomon Porch height was from 2Chron. 3:4, which some (but not this) dispute.

“the house which king Solomon built for the Lord, the length thereof was 60 cubits, & the breadth thereof 20 cubits, & the height thereof 30 cubits… & the porch before the temple of the house, 20 cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; & 10 cubits was the breadth thereof before the house. 1Kgs6:2-3” As it was covered in pure gold, it was likely sacked by Shishak of Egypt about 930BC.

And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.. & it came to pass in the 5th year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem: & he took away the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king's house; he even took away all: & he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made. ( 930BC )
