sustainable development policy OF
THE NICE CÔTE D’AZUR METROPOLITAN CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT POLICY
The first two actions of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau (NCA CVB) in terms of sustainable development were to integrate the GDS Index 2022 (Global Destination Sustainability Movement) and to write a Sustainable Development Policy consistent with our territorial strategy.
This policy translates into a CSR Charter with specific actions, commitments, indicators and objectives managed internally and responding to sustainable development issues. Each year, it will be measured and evaluated in order to analyze our performance and space for improvement.
It takes into account all the divisions: General Management, HR, Purchasing, Marketing and Communication, Customer Relations, Information Systems, CSR and brings them together around a CSR committee. The objective of this committee will be to jointly develop and implement common and realistic actions in favour of sustainable development, in order to implement responsible practices within the CVB.

A WORD FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
« The CSR approach is now an integral part of all company policies and strategies, and should naturally be part of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau’s business plan.
As the second largest tourist destination in France, shaped by more than 150 years of tourism history and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for winter resorts, Nice and its metropolitan area have a responsibility towards the tourism industry and must be a driving force on a large number of issues.
Creating a dedicated department and drawing up a complete strategic plan, integrating all the players in the tourism value chain, the institutions and the community, were necessary to obtain better transversality and define coherent and concerted objectives.
The Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis is committed, involved and will quickly become an example to other destinations for this major and now universal issue ».
2023/2024
Jean-Sébastien Martinez General Manager of The Nice Côte d’Azur
Metropolitan
Convention and Visitors Bureau
