At Otak Architecture, our mission is to collaborate through design to enrich the human experience. Our vision is rooted in integrity, creativity, and bold design—values that guide us as we forge new paths with resilience and purpose to deliver transformational solutions. At the core of everything we do are the values of collaboration, design, enrichment, integrity, creativity, resilience, purpose, and sustainability, which inspire us to build not just structures, but stronger, more vibrant communities. Our shared purpose as an integrated design team is to connect people to place so they feel a lasting sense of pride and delight in their communities. This is reflected in the legacy of our built projec ts and is an approach that we continue to refine in the work that we pursue. Since 1981, our integrated design approach to placemaking has been essential to our collaboration with clients on multifamily, mixed-use, suburban, and urban developments. The end result is projects that can be readily implemented since they are rooted in a deep understanding of the needs of today’s consumers and their communities.

PROJECT CONTROLS

Otak’s recent acquisition of Tarr Whitman Group (TWG), an advanced project controls firm, enables us to unveil a new practice area to better serve our clients and aid them in making informed, data-driven decisions at all stages of a project’s lifecycle.

PM/CM & OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVE

Otak’s construction management and inspection services team provides clients with the tools to keep their projects on track. From design development through project closeout, we work as part of the project team.

SURVEY & MAPPING

By relaying the relationship between locations, conditions, and uses of the land, our team ensures success. Otak is a pioneer in electronic data accumulation and its translation into formats for many applications.

WATER & NATURAL RESOURCES

As available land diminishes, Otak’s water and natural resources staff documents environmental conditions and fully satisfies reporting criteria for compliance requirements at the local, state, and federal levels.

Otak ensures that our local infrastructure supports the homes in which we live, the water and utility systems that keep our cities running, and the transit systems that ease congestion.

CIVIL ENGINEERING TRANSPORTATION

Otak’s structural and bridge designers offer the expertise necessary to accommodate our often-aging road systems while being mindful of cost, safety, and how each structure fits within its environment.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING

We believe the most successful communities are those that provide a mix of housing choices at all levels of income and integrate different levels of affordability. Working with developers to provide affordable housing to communities with the most need aligns directly with our culture and mission. We are compelled to use this integrated approach to economic, environmental, and social well-being in placemaking that our multi-disciplinary professionals are passionate and motivated to create.
