When we cast our minds back and reflect on the countless number of lives that have been lost to elections in this clime we cannot but weep for our country in this regard. The trend is quite disturbing
and saddening. For instance the unnecessary waste of lives during the governorship and legislative elections that took place in Rivers state recently,
including the killing of a Corps member who was amongst the Youth Corpers used in conducting the exercise, still continues to saddens the mind. Even the rerun legislative
