depth, which is what keeps me loving it. It challenges me, but at the same time relaxes my body. As a college student I don’t know what I would do without tennis. I am going to school to become a veterinarian, which I am very excited about. I see how my artistry on the tennis court, including decision making, work ethic, and social skills will carry over for me to utilize in my career choice. Through the sport I’ve learned many valuable lessons about my individuality and how to take advantage of my attributes as well. It’s important to find passion in life, and when you find it, don’t let go. Staying involved in tennis has enhanced my college experience and keeps me right at home. nce you’re an athlete, you’re always an athlete; the competitiveness is in your blood. Every opportunity that I have had to step foot on a tennis court and play the sport that I love, I cherish. As a college student, studies become more demanding and there is less time for extracurricular activities. The moment I set my racquet down in college my life didn’t feel the same. Something was missing. Tennis gave my life meaning, so I had to get back into it. In the fall, I joined the club team and played at the Country Club of Fairfax. Being involved with tennis has kept me in shape as an athlete, and has trained my mind to think sharply. The sport has a lot of
