FROM THE RETIRING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Greater Old Saybrook Chamber

See You Around! (Just Without the Nametag)…

As I write this final message in my role as Executive Director of the Greater Old Saybrook Chamber, I’m filled with tremendous gratitude and maybe a pinch of disbelief. Serving this organization and community has been one of the greatest honors and joys of my life.

Together, we’ve navigated challenges, celebrated milestones, shared many laughs (and maybe a few groans), and built a Chamber that truly supports, uplifts, and connects. I’m deeply proud of what we’ve achieved—none of it possible without the dedication of our incredible members, board, volunteers, and staff.

I treasure the relationships we’ve built, the memories we’ve made, and the impact we’ve had. It’s been a true privilege to work alongside such a generous and talented group. You’ve inspired me more than I can say and taught me that no matter how many cups we compost, there’s always another opportunity around the corner.

I’m excited to pass the torch to Andrew—he’s ready to steer the ship—and I promise not to hover (too much). I’ll be here to ensure a smooth transition and to quietly cheer you on from the sidelines.

While I look forward to “Operation Next Chapter” in my personal life, the Greater Old Saybrook Chamber will always hold a special place in my heart. I may not be wearing the nametag anymore, but I’m only a call or text away.

Thank you for your trust, your support, and for letting me be part of this incredible journey. Here’s to many more years of success—and who knows, maybe I’ll even pop by a 1st Thursday now and then. I’ll see you around town!

With tremendous gratitude,

GOSC’S INCOMING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR!

ANDREWSURPRISE

We are pleased to announce an exciting new chapter for the Greater Old Saybrook Chamber. After 20 years of exceptional leadership, Judy Sullivan is stepping down as Executive Director. Judy’s dedication, vision, and tireless commitment have left a lasting legacy on our organization and the community we serve. We are immensely grateful for her service and the strong foundation she has built.

Andrew brings extensive experience in chamber management, economic development, and community engagement. Most recently, he served as Executive Director of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, where he launched impactful workforce development initiatives and forged strong partnerships with major regional employers His leadership previously revitalized the Quaboag Hills Chamber of Commerce, and his background in public service and communications equips him well to champion our mission.

We are confident that Andrew will build upon the Chamber’s legacy, advocate for our members, and lead with the same dedication and passion that Judy has demonstrated over the past two decades.

Please join us in warmly welcoming Andrew Surprise to the Greater Old Saybrook Chamber We look forward to introducing him to you soon!
