Final Week Self-reflection on my achievements.

I’m happy that I was able to fulfill my goal of creating personas that were easily communicable to both the client and the internal project group. It turned out to be quite a simple task as I put a lot of effort into the target group research, with the interview being the most insightful.

I have never before created a concept map on my own, so it was definitely a thoughtful experience. I realized how it made me really think about how the concept ties together, and after a few revised versions of the map, I think it helped us quite a bit when it came to further developing the concept.

I do believe that I was able to create convincing, visually pleasing visualizations. At least they were good enough for me to feel comfortable with displaying them in the report and for the final presentation.

During the conceptualization, it became clear to me that my initial idea of doing an expert review weren’t the most relevant one. I therefore decided to conduct a review with a person within the target group, which I believe turned out quite well. We got some nice insight on some things that could be improved.

Main objectives for the future.

It was really nice to, for a change, work a bit more visually with research, and I would love to continue doing this sort of work in the future as well. I do still believe that it is essential to be closely involved in the target group research as well, though, and that is something that I think one always can improve on.

I would love to become better at these types of infographical products, as I fee there is a certain sense of satisfaction in creating something that is both visually pleasing and easily understandable.

Visualizing has always been my forte, and I don’t really know what to say other than that I absolutely need to continue developing my skills for. It is not a matter of a goal to always improve, but rather that I have a hard time imagining myself not continuing working visually.

Conducting interviews and reviews is always a bit hard for me, as I don’t really think I have that kind of “journalistic“ way of being, so I would love to improve on being able to as “the right questions“ to get the proper insights.
