Abram Hoffer, MD, PhD

bram Hoffer, MD, PhD, (1917-2009) is internationally known for his pioneering work in orthomolecular psychiatry. He authored thousands of articles and many books including: Adventures in Psychiatry; Healing Schizophrenia; Orthomolecular Medicine for Physicians; Hoffer’s Laws of Natural Nutrition; Healing Children’s Attention & Behaviour Disorders and Healing Cancer. Dr. Hoffer was founding president of the International Schizophrenia Foundation and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine. Before his retirement in 2005, Dr. Hoffer maintained a private psychiatric practice for over 50 years, where he treated thousands of mentally ill patients.
