Hello members,

The club is filling up fast again with the beautiful weather and the influx of new members. We are all enjoying the new faces at the club. Fridays and Sundays are reaching a point of maximum capacity for the Galley to keep up with the demand. Please be patient whilst we aim to serve everyone.

Galley Announcement

To keep our members better served, we will now be making bookings essential on Friday nights. You can book between 6:00 and 7:45. Please book on the website under the “EAT” tab and click reservations. First in best dressed. Members ONLY can book on the website.

Opening of the Season

What a magnificent day. The weather was perfect, almost too perfect with very little wind for the sailors to get the yachts going for the sail past. Even better than the weather was the people we got to enjoy the company of. The new committee members all dressed up in whites, the Mayor Albert Jacob once again did a great talk and showed his commitment and support for the club. He did nearly open the season himself and was quickly shut down by Ken Wood that was timely and hilarious for everyone to see.

Bali By The Sea 3.0

Back by popular demand this one will be huge. We are always looking to make events better. Another sell-out event so we can’t wait to see you all down here in your best dressed Bali gear.

Kids Christmas Party

Thanks to Kevin in advance for being Santa once again. He has been preparing his beard for months and is really looking the part. Thanks also to Ian Younghusband for providing his famous little red MG.

New Years Eve

Party time – the galley will not be open but we will have some food options available for everyone.

Digital Cards

Thanks for everyone being so patient. Most members are enjoying the upgrade, a few of you had some technical issues. With any major IT upgrade there will be teething challenges. We are nearly complete, and the upgrade will make life easier for everyone, the members and the staff.

Special thanks to all the staff also for being resilient and patient. Most of them want to strangle me but hopefully will be thanking me very soon as working life will be more automated and efficient.

Playground

Delivery delays are holding up the install date. It will be installed around mid-November.

Clubs WA Awards

I’m sure most you know but it does mean a lot to the club to be awarded these special awards.

The staff work extremely hard and I want to thank them for helping to make these awards possible.

Marina Development

It feels like we are being taken over by transformers getting closer and closer to us with excavators, bulldozers and trucks. It certainly is an impressive site to see the speed at which they are changing the landscape. Please be careful on the road and walking around as the animals (snakes) get stirred up. This will become the “new norm” for the next 2-3 years whilst we wait for our new clubhouse to be built.
