Series highlights so far
• On Tuesday September 6th, 2022, the BWDA Winter
Doubles Competition was held at the Quinn’s Sports
Club. A record number of 80 players turned up and were paired with “out of the hat” partners for the evening’s event. Andrew Whitehouse (Ocean Reef
Black) making the final.
• The weekend of 17th & 18th of October a Breast cancer fundraiser tournament took place at the
Kingsway Sporting Club. A big thank you to Chris
Gaston who co-ordinated a team from ORSSC. The team consisted of players across all our grades (Chris Gaston, Steve Robertson, Dave McLoughlin,
Kevin Malone, Lynn Malone, Erin Osbaldistion,
Julie Montague),
• It was a fun two days with raffles, live auctions & chase the joker. The team finished in the middle of the pack (3 wins out of 5) which was a great achievement given two C graders were playing up in Division 1.
• Two players received prizes, Steve Robertson scoring 180 and Erin Osbaldiston scoring the most 26’s over the weekend
Hope to see you at the Oche!
