Savvy audiences have known for decades that nothing is more revelatory than witnessing Orpheus romp through Mozart with a trusted collaborator like Pinchas Zukerman, their every nuance magnified by the pristine acoustics of Carnegie Hall. To mark this long-awaited homecoming, the young British sensation Hannah Kendall sets the stage with a curtain raiser steeped in Classical brilliance. A late Schubert piano solo gets a new look as a rich Chamber Symphony, letting the ensemble work together to plumb the profound mysteries of a genius unbound.

Trumpet legend Arturo Sandoval makes his Orpheus debut, bringing his peerless vitality as a composer and performer at the crossroads of classical, jazz, and Latin styles. Playing bespoke arrangements and commissions spanning from Gershwin’s rowdy overture to the contemporary artistry of Aldo López-Gavilán, the camaraderie of a rejuvenated Orpheus swirls with the lively spirit of Cuba for an evening of toe-tapping joy.
