Welcome to Freston Junction – a special resource base at Ormiston Latimer Academy.
The provision is designed for Key Stages 3 and 4, catering for 12 exceptional pupils with special educational needs, including ASD, SLCN, SEMH and EBSA.

Two Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs)
Together, they bring a wealth of experience and expertise to support the unique needs of our children and young people.

This provision is a collaborative e ort supported by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) local authority, with the aim of creating a safe learning space that prepares our learners for their next steps, with active participation from clinicians, educators, parents, carers and community members.

We believe in the power of community and continuous engagement. Regular updates and opportunities for involvement through forums and meetings ensure that families, carers and professionals stay connected and informed, enhancing the learning experience for our pupils.

Our warm, welcoming environment is designed to feel like a home away from home. With quiet areas, a full kitchen, classrooms and an outdoor play space, we create a calm and nurturing atmosphere that encourages engagement and communication.
Our curriculum and additional support
Our curriculum is tailored to provide a comprehensive package of learning and support. It includes:
GCSE subjects including STEM, Art, PE, PSHE and humanities
Vocational and life skills opportunities
Project-based learning outside the classroom
We ensure personalised support through a structured five-day induction process, individual assessments and the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Our commitment
At Freston Junction we support the diverse needs of our bright, curious and ambitious young people, including ASD, SLCN and SEMH. We maintain strong relationships with families and carers, recognising their essential role in the educational journey.
Regular reviews, audits and collaboration with educational psychologists and other specialists ensure continuous improvement in our education and care quality.
Supported by OAT and RBKC, we are dedicated to the success of our learners, their families and our provision.
We strive for continuous development, incorporating feedback to adapt and evolve our services.
