PIP-SQUEAK: AN ANTI-BULLYING MAGIC SHOW

Back By Popular Demand! Because of his small size as a child, magician and comedian Tony Brent was bullied in the cafeteria, the gym, on the playground, and nearly everywhere no adults were present. Now using comedy, amazing magic tricks, juggling, and a coat-rack loaded with costumes, Tony gently and humorously teaches children how to cope with being bullied. In addition, children learn to recognize the signs of bullying and whether or not they themselves might be guilty of bullying.

WRITES OF SPRING, A THREE-PART CREATIVE WRITING PROGRAM

Writes of Spring is designed to offer students in grades K-12 an opportunity to be recognized for their writing and to see their words on stage! Students submit one page creative writing pieces based on the prompt: How Can Your Life Change in Just 5 Minutes? Student works are evaluated and scored. A group of winners are selected to have their writing adapted in a brand new theatrical work and are invited to a Winner’s Workshop at Orlando REP to explore the themes and ideas associated with the new work! They are also invited to a performance of the new work, crested by professional theatre makers, and given a copy of the script in which they are given credit for their own words!
