This edition of POP Magazine marks a significant shift in our content consumption strategy. Our companion mobile application, POP Lens, is specifically designed to complement the print format. This unique initiative aims to create a harmonious blend of tactile and digital experiences, bringing together the tangible feel of print media with the dynamic nature of digital engagement.
POP Lens is an app that caters to readers who enjoy the physical experience of reading magazines. With the use of AI image scanning technology, readers can easily extract more information about any image in the issue. This feature allows readers to gain a better understanding of the creative process behind the work and explore complete photographic narratives. By providing a comprehensive portal of information related to the featured artist, POP Lens empowers readers to delve deeper into the content of the magazine.
This initiative transcends convenience; it represents a significant step towards democratising creativity. POP Magazine has long fostered a commitment to artistic expression. POP Lens expands upon this mission by empowering readers to actively participate in the artistic community. Aspiring artists can utilise the app as a wellspring of inspiration, while established collectors can leverage it to build comprehensive digital archives. The future of artistic discovery is here, and POP Magazine remains at the forefront, one click at a time.

“I am a visual artist in my final year at the School of Digital Arts in Manchester. I grew up in East London before moving to Manchester in 2021 to study my BA in Photography. Affixed between documentary and the constructed image, my practice is concerned with emulating a vibrant atmosphere within the narrative of real people and places.
Over the last few years, it has evolved to combine my love for analogue photography with fine art and craft processes. The realisation of my ideas often takes physical form, previously as screen-prints, artists books and bespoke light-boxes. Now working on medium format colour film to make portraits that further explore my interest in authentic storytelling through conceptual imagery”

“As a graphic designer, I don’t just create graphics, I see them as building blocks for visual narratives. I’m constantly pushing boundaries, exploring new techniques, and looking at things from fresh angles. My ultimate goal is to make the invisible come alive for the people I collaborate with. My design philosophy draws inspiration from minimalist aesthetics, where every element serves a purpose, contributing to the overall message and user experience.

“I’ve have always been fascinated by portrait work and through my portraiture, I try to delve deep into the essence of human character, capturing the intricate stories written on each face. My work is not merely about capturing a likeness; it’s about revealing the soul behind the facade.
Over the last few years, I have been combining my love for music and poetry with my art practice. I draw inspiration from my favorite musical artists and enjoy exploring the intricacies of their character. Poetry, language, and music have become a huge part of my practice and also a significant part of my identity as an artist”
