Abstract:Tourism sector is a very significant sector for the economies of the countries. Turkey,
especially after 1980ies in the direction of 24th of January conclusions is directed to a liberal
economic conception that is open to foreign countries and this perspective opened the horizon of
tourism sector that has in fact less effect on economy at those years. Turkey comprehended the
importance of tourism income and in this field increased the investments and especially after the year
2000 reached to such a situation that became competitive in the World in tourism sector. In this study
of ours the reasons that affect tourism income in Turkey have been researched. At the ampirical
analysis section covering the years 2001(1)-2015(2) with 3 monthly data dependent variable tourism
income is reviewed and analysed in the direction of independent variables such as GDP, Exchange
Rate, inflation (CPI).
