James McNaughton was so kind to build and donate three benches for the course, and plans to add even one more in the near future. The ladies purchased a plaque for one of the benches and dedicated it to Debbie and Mike Wessels, in memory of their son, Mac. This bench will be placed on hole #4 because this particular hole is so special to Debbie. This is where she recorded a hole in one two years ago. It is our hope that she and Mike will find some
peace and
comfort here in days to come.
Ladies golf would like to welcome three new

bers: Renee Stephens, Cindy Chambers, and Grethe Christensen. We are all looking forward to playing with these girls this season. Margie Knight was recently nominated to be inducted into the NFCA (National Fast Pitch Coaches Association), Hall of Fame, for 2018. Margie's induction will be held in go.

This is a monumental honor and we are extremely
proud of Margie and all of her accomplishments. She is quite a role model for everyone and is so deserving of this award. I hope to see lots of girls on our opening day, April 4th. I know this is going to be a great year!
Pepsi Practice June 19th Pepsi Tournament
GOLF Victory for Green Hill Abroad! Green Hill had two teams participate in the International Caribbean Pro-am at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic at the end of February, the beginning of March. Of the two teams, one team won the Over-all Gross prize and the other Low Gross Flight Prize (it would have been Second Over-all Gross but they didn’t have an award for that!). The Over-all Champions were the team of Dennis Weller, Dr. Greg Thompson, John McIntyre, and Golf Professional Butch Butler. The Low Gross Flight Winning team was Dr. Chas Brenner, Dr. Alex Zito, John Kilian, and Golf Professional Rob McDonald. If you haven’t been The season opening event, the Red, White and Blue Tournament was contested in cooler than normal conditions. Braving the
cold and coming out on top was the team of Phyllis Kilian, John Kilian, and Dennis Weller. Their score of 62½ in this three-person scramble
format
was
good
enough to edge out the Second Place team of Debbie Wessels, Mike Wessels, and David King by 2 shots. Third Place went to Jane Bratten, Scott Duncan, and Rob Burke who after a match of cards left Fourth Place to Laurie Haugh, David Dawson, and Fred Puente with
winners and thank you to all who came out and endured the chilly day! Congratulations to Bill Satterfield for his acing hole number eight. This great shot occurred on Saturday, March 24th. Witnessing this 3-iron shot from the White Tees were Stu Leer, Woody Vickery, and Joe Ivers. The attendees of the March Cigar Dinner enjoyed a wonderful serving of Australian Lamb prepared by our great kitchen staff. Following dinner, they moved outdoors for a selection of fine cigars and bourbon tastings by the fire pit. If you wish to experience a great time such as this, the next cigar dinner will be held on Friday July 6th.
The golf clinics are now back to the regular schedule. We have the Ladies Only clinic for members on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:30pm. On Wednesday evenings we have an Open Clinic for anyone who wants to attend from 5:30-6:30pm. All clinics are just $25 per person.
Men’s League begins Thursday, April 19th and runs every Thursday night until August 9th. The
deadline to sign up is Sunday, April 15th. Please let us know if you need a
partner and we can try to help you find one. The Green Hill Masters is set for Saturday, April 7th. It’s a fun format where you can make your own pairings and tee times. When you come in the pro shop, you draw a name of a player that made the cut in the Masters out of a hat. We then combine his
