Can you believe that it is July already! This summer seems to be going by at warp speed! In a few days we will be celebrating the birthday of our country! Do you have your grill fired up? Do you have your mosquito spray at hand? Happy 4th of July!! Talk about weeds – I bet my weeds could beat your weeds! The one reason I haven't promoted a competition is that I'm not sure it should be “who has the most” by weight or by biggest or by variety. Also, this bit of rain every night or the stormy nights is kind of interesting. It does make for extra growth of the grass too. Maybe when we look back on this summer we will be looking to July and August to make up our usual “Long Hot Summer”! Happy Gardening from the Houndslake Garden Club!! The Houndslake Water Hounds (adult men and women) will meet (weather permitting) from 9:00 to 10:00 Monday through Saturday. Water Aerobics is a great way to start the day; it will increase your flexibility, body strength, balance and cardio fitness. You will need good water support shoes, a noodle and hand buoys (online).
